About This File

A 9-level single player episode for Doom 2, created back in 2004. You have been trapped inside the cells of a hellish mountain fortress and must escape back to civilisation. This is the first 9 levels of a canned Doom 2 megawad, which I decided to create as a mod for Doom 3 instead. The map design is completely different to the design of the forthcoming D3 mod, so don't worry about spoilers. Hope you enjoy the maps! Design is primarily hellish in nature, but featuring a variety of locations.

Kinda interesting at first, but very buggy. Gets very boring 2/5.

In the beginning it is creative but it is very bad as compared to other maps. It seems to get more mazey and random as it goes on... Yucky.

All those HOM errors and repeatitve rooms at the first level were a bit dissapointing that I was bored to play this till the end. I IDCLEVed to the later levels and they kinda get better, but not enough. 2/5 - Optimus

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
