Fun map. Took longer to get back up to the surface than going down. Good story. Fun boss fights (Generator and Pyrodemon). Music went well with the map, matched the pace in some bits. I hope that Darkness 2 is just as good or better. 4/5 (I loved the detail, and the amount of monsters.)

Hallways, square rooms, poor texture usage, autoalign abuse, and more, all packed into a map with a bland layout and uninteresting gameplay. Try playing some maps that weren't made by Tormentor or his groupies.

Well. Besides some nasty stupid bugs that was an awesome play. Okay, sometimes linear (covered with lots of detail though) and a few unfair fights (endboss for example). But then the fight at the reactor was great, the landscape/internal were worth the sightseeing trip and at all it was a fun experience. Would have like it to have fewer bugs (fall down holes, blocked lifts and doors when you step back and this horrible jump through the bars in 1st level). 3,75/5

Well worth the 32 MB download! This is a splendid wad with a lot of surprises. All of the 3 maps are connected to each other. The last battle was great, very original. The music selection is also wonderful. Excellent work, StarScream! - Moti

to those who don't like new fangled zdoom or gzdoom levels I have one thing to say no one is forcing you to play them so if you'd rather play really bland levels with zero detail and the same old boring monsters over and over again that's your choice me I like Doom2 levels like I like my food with lots of seasoning.

the maps have some nice detail but the gameplay is not so great in some places. i got very frustrated alot of the time. but its a fairly decent mod overall

Somehow these 3 maps seem to remind me of Agent Spork's and Tormentor667's work. And considering that these are two authors I love, it can only be assumed I love this too! Good work (I agree with the above)!

Truly outstanding work, one of the nicer looking 3 map wads I've played in a long time, nice texture usage and choice, and an epic final escape level that brings the whole thing to a close truly legendary. ...Maelstrom...

Excellent atmosphere and a lot of work went into creating the various environments. Gameplay not the best, but if you like stealth monsters in dark places and fighting a ton of cyberdemons, give it a go!

probably will like it I'm a fan of these new fangled gzdoom levels with new monsters and other new surprises. Oh and yes one of my favorite level designers is Tormentor667 cause he brings originality to the table.

I liked it, it was pretty good for the most part. Could have used a few tweaks here and there, though the true final boss needs to be redone since his health meter takes up half the screen making it almost impossible to see anything. But other than that this is solid stuff. Recommmended 4/5

      A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

      Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

      Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
