About This File

There are small 11 maps. Episode 1 (Map 1-6) is "Uranus", and episode 2 (Map 7-11) is "Ares". I made this wad not recently but about 4 years ago, and I have already abandoned the project. Title pic is remaining "Ares"...

A really brief mapset -- it took me around 15 minutes to play through, and the map with 42 monsters is the big one -- from Masayan, who contributed to JPCP. It feels like a My First Wad type of deal in its design choices and missteps. The first half "Uranus" has a creative theme. As this opening shot of map01 captures, it has a platforms-suspended-in-a-big-skybox theme that feels like if, say, Ozonia were made by a beginner, with very tiny maps, and patterned its visuals after Scythe and Kama Sutra (but sparser) -- or alternatively like a very simple, bite-sized version of lupinx-Kassman's design. It often looks and plays blandly, but I had fun rushing through it. Seems like it'd be good for speedrunning.

Short and sweet. But still not really great. 3/5 stars. Hardcore_gamer

Not a bad map set, it was easy to play and very well designed. 4/5.-Candle M

Kinda interesting architecture and layout, but man, does the music suck. It's terrible and awful and just ruins the whole gameplay.

Very mediocre mapset with a mostly easy gameplay. The maps are short and straightforwarded for the most part. The music selection was okay. I'll give this 2/5, though I believe it deserves less. - Moti

I liked them too. Best map seven clone I've played in a while. It kind of makes me want to make some simple maps also (... oh the complexity of that idea ... :P)

Not every wad has to be some massive 32 level insanely detailed set. Small projects such as these are still pretty fun to play.

Finally! After going through a lot of crap in new336 this is something decent again. Small, simple but nice. Not awesome but after all the other stuff lately... this is a gleam of hope. 3,5/5

Nice effort. These maps contain a simple charm to them that some people seem to miss.

I love the first six levels. The last maps are more generic... 3/5

The first set (Uranus) was quite OK, actually - short, admittedly, not particularly detailed, but enjoyable. The latter (Ares) were more on the boring side, to be honest. Still, 3/5 overall.

Despite the simplicity of the mapset, I liked it. The maps were short and sweet.

The wad is ok, but I found the levels to be too short. Next time you create a level make sure you use “Hurt Me Plenty“ for your first thing placements and then make the other skills, because skill 1-3 are just way too easy. I even would recommend lower skilled players to play on Ultra Violence... That’s all, 3/5!

I like it's simple unique ramb levels at the beginning and the small levels, it's fun and fast to win. 5/5 - Optimus
