Done with these settings:

- PRBoom+ 2.5.1.5. complevel 4.

- Ultra Violence.

- Pistol start combined with a pistol start mindset.

- No saves.

Pretty good Plutonia-inspired set, containing both regular style and some artistic/experimental maps. A few of the levels aren't afraid to play around with very dark lighting, or go entirely off the rails with the visuals (like in map06). The map order is a bit strange if viewed from a continuous perspective, with some generous weapons and resources in the early maps and scarcity/low-key combat in the later half of the wad. Using the regular shotgun against Barons/Mancs/Cacos is not entirely uncommon. Some of the layouts are very interesting and provide a more adventurous and non-linear experience. 3/5

Highlights: maps 03, 06, 08, 10

A few really good maps supported by a bunch of alright ones. Visuals are mostly Plutonia-inspired, with the occasional veering into Shores of Hell type mish-mash architecture. Difficulty is about on par with DOOM2.wad I think. Overall, a rather pedestrian affair, although the standout maps are certainly worth the time.

- GLBoom+ 2.5.1.4. complevel 9.

- Continuous combined with a pistol start mindset.

- Saves every 10 minutes or so.

Fun mapset. Some good level designs in different shapes and length. Aesthetically, generally pleasing, using the Plutonia resources to create a sense of iwad-ness in several maps, specially with the vines texture. As a sort of community mapset, it's a mixed bag in this aspect, you can see squar-y shaped corridors with metal bars in the corners in maps from the same author, or multi-shaped layouts a la Plutonia, and even one map with more than three themes, kind of an odd in many ways. Well, maps are not always very good looking according to my tastes, and if you do some exploration/backtrack you might find visuals bugs (as HOMs), for example in map 09 in the crushers room, which looks horrible. In regards to details, expect extreme darkness in some maps, mostly as a plus feature to interesting gameplay. Anyway, if one midi sticks to my mind is the one in map 02, the rest are ok but this one is super neat, although not the best one for that map. First level has "The Imp's Song", one of my all time favs.

You can also expect a bit of Plutonia gameplay here, but it's mostly concentrated in the first map. It's a mixed bag in terms of combat too, the variety is pleasing to me, and you get incidental combat in the majority mixed with a few teleporting enemies here and there. Tight quarters with enemies is very present, specially in darkness. Progression is what rubbed me wrong way in some maps. While I appreciate non-linearity, I can also be fond to linearity if there's always a way to get back to previous areas, in case I missed a secret or decided to skip it for later. That's not the case here, and I found myself having to idclip near the exit, to look for those skipped secrets. It could be a matter of preferences, I simply don't agree with that design choice. Whatever... also expect some confusing switch-hunts, particularly in maps 03 and 05, but this something I am fond of (uh, preferences part 2 :P).

Returning to the secrets topic, no complains, except for a couple that I could not find in the last map, and I think one of them is unreachable. There's a troll secret in map 06, well, there could be something else if you keep an eye...

My favourite map is 01, (hey, first time a starter is one of my favs!), and also maps 03, 05, 08 are in the list. Map 10 could also be if it weren't for those secrets, but on the very very very positive side there's no IoS! The others are ok and so so.

Overall, fans of Plutonia might find a couple of gems here, although I still recommend it for varied easy-medium gameplay. And don't forget this runs with PLUTONIA.WAD, using PrBoom+ complevel 9. My rate is 7/10.

Excellent! The maps are very good, sometimes too hard but that's the challenge. Note that this is for plutonia so don't complain if you get checker walls. One flaw though is that you just randomly placed ammo inside short hallways, I found myself picking a box of shells while having 98 shells more than once. :/ Besides for that one, well worth the download. 4.5(5)/5 - Moti

First map is good, next maps is bad. Many copypast in 2nd and 7th maps, in 4th map awful lag with block monsters line, in 10th map lag with lattice texture... Only 2 stars.

A fantastic set of 10 levels for Plutonia. You guys have real talent! The level design is precise, and the gameplay is challenging, but fast and tight. Good ammo and health placement throughout. A strong 4/5. recommended.

4/5, no 5/5 because you need plutonia wad to play it, and I have it but it's unfair to the people who don't have it.

Some very cool techbases with a nice texture set and pallette.  The music is pretty epic.  And it all runs in vanilla! (Or so it is said, I played it in GZDoom)

I honestly can't believe that this whole megawad is 100% vanilla compatible and its only the first of THREE episodic megawads! Esselfortium and her team of creative energetic mappers has done an amazing job from the unique texture set, the music, the maps & even the tweaked color palette that fits the mood of the whole thing.    100% highly recommended! 5/5

A pretty straightforward map to run through, packing in tons of enemies in rooms both big and small. Most of the monsters you'll be killing are E1 monsters such as Zombiemen and Imps, so while there isn't much in monster variety, there are plenty of ways to get them to fight each other which I like. It might be better to try and get as many monsters to start attacking at the same time since once you get the Chaingun, not even the groups of Spectres are much of a threat. Overall though, the map is still fun to blast through if you just want to kill tons of monsters in packs.

this is a strange wad, with assets similar to Darkest Hour and other Star Wars-themed wads, many of the maps focus on small killings, as most of the maps are actually small. Pinchy's finale sure makes this worth it. oh yeah, quite a few custom stuff was done. the flamethrower marines were quite annoying, while other monsters gained multiple attacks, new ones, it's all so zany. the maps are pretty well done overall and this is worth a try.

Okay, I get it, it's a megawad mainly for speedrunners who are intricately familiar with the mechanics of the game down to the nitty-gritty. A series of challenges/obstacles that, for the most part, seem to be possible but are generally ludicrous (and sometimes outright laughable, in a good way).   This was is not a "pile of junk" as a few have said however it's really, really lacking in a lot of ways. I get that the wad is meant to have a fun-and-not-serious tone despite it's overall extreme difficulty but the texturing looks like the insides of a toilet bowl after a Taco Bell buffet. Seriously, these maps are jealous of how beautiful and futuristic maps like UAC_DEAD look. The DWANGO series looks like fucking Ancient Aliens compared to this.   The MIDIs are lighthearted, silly and fun, which adds a layer of appeal for me personally. I loved seeing Patrick Stewart at the intermission too, rofl   I had some fun with this IDCLEVing through the whole wad and giving each map a try or 2 before moving on to the next but I seriously doubt I'll ever be back. The same idea with better texturing and overall taking itself just a tiny bit more seriously would warrant a higher rating. Ass-ugly texturing, silly MIDIs and a silly titlepic/interpic are fun in their own right so don't take me the wrong way but a lot of it crossed into "looks like the authors gave 0 fucks" category and I just have to take points away for that.   Also,   lol wtf is this bullshit is this a terrywad or somethin i mean jeeeezus   Overall, this is worth a peek just for some fun but unless you're a highly skilled speedrunner that also doesn't mind looking into a crapchute map after map, this probably doesn't really have much for you.
