About This File

This is a remake of doom1 exclusively for doom2 because doom2 has more content then doom1 that is available. it also brings new, bigger, harder levels that when you play through you will feel the same emotions as the first time you played doom.in a addtion there will be a new boss!I already have 2 new weapons RIFLE and Machinegun! This wad is very similar to Knee Deep in Zdoom

nice gameplay and details, but sniper 109 never seems to mark areas as secrets which is kinda weird. not a fan of the new weapons but the gameplay is pretty good.

Lots of work. Sadly: way too much useless decoration, way too little variations in architecture & texture use, especially the later levels look too much similar to the original ones, and monster placement / gameplay is clearly the last aspect worked on. Overall it was difficult to play this out due to the boredom. Overall there are some remakes which are lightyears better than this one. Still 3* because of the huge effort. BTW map06: yellow door can be opened from the inside, so no need for the yellow key.

5/5, BETTER than KDIZD (But then again, what isn't better than KDIZD?).

5/5, Better then KDiZD, anyone who disagrees can't tell a good wad from their rear ends.

IGNORE UDDERDUDE! this Wad is just what the Doom Community needs. okay,so the Plasma gun and BFG are missed, but this experience was like that of the Alphas- Bullets and Shells ONLY. 8 out of 10!!!-DZombie

1/5 AWFUL Plain Horrid, so many mistakes. The new weapons are terrible, I see no appeal to using the machine gun or the Dead Aim Burst Machine gun. The levels were decent but at the same time bland. In "E1M9" you could beat the entire level without raising the bars because you can still reach through them. I complete waste of my time to play. On the plus note, I'm at least glad you admitted to have inspiration from KDiZD (its obvious anyways)

A KDiZD wannabe without any of the qualities that made KDiZD rise above its infamous faults to be a great wad. The machine gun has nothing to distinguish it from the chaingun, the level design is unimaginative, and the new grapics are ugly. 2/5 --Woolie

The only thing I used decorate for was the monsters projectils, the new weapons were made with dehacked. also you're wrong the machinegun is SLOWER than the Chaingun. Proof check the dehacked. Chainguns firing duration is 4 where as the machineguns duration is 5. Spoiled by decorate? No. The decorate plays a small role in this wad

This is alright, but it didn't blew me away either. I'll give it 3 stars. Btw, Tormentor is NOT the creator of the new monster sprites! The new Zombie is made by NmN and the base for the burning demon is from Eriance!

Hey, some crazy wad you have there, but you have to be very smart to play trough the levels. For a complex level set it is very good. I especially like the weapon 7 and the fireballs. 5/5.

I really agree with JJ, I found myself getting lost more than once in these damned mazes known as levels, no offense man, but these levels are too long to just to get in to. 2/5 -Wartorn

Great job. The lighting in the first couple of maps was a bit bright and not very atmospheric but got better in later maps. The secret areas weren't always marked. I felt the difficulty was too easy for UV except for final bosses (some pillars would have helped). Apart from the first map I pretty much enjoyed it. I also thought it recreated the original feel a lot better than KDIZD. So 5* for you.

gameplay is ok, it looks ok, areas are quite good interconnected, but I was missing an individuel touch - something which hits me 3/5

I was very impressed with this. I have seen many fan made doom maps that were shit. This is definitely not one of those! I like the new machine gun, and the zombie.

I tried, but I just can't get into this. Alot of these ideas have been done before in KDiZD, and some parts are plain copied from it. There are detailed remakes of familiar rooms, and then alot of extra convoluted areas, tunnels and switch-hunts. It's too easy to get disoriented and lost, and you don't really get an idea of the 3D space around you. Sniper, you're obviously a very talented mapper, but your style is so different from John Romero's, combining his maps and yours just doesn't work. 2/5 -jj

I must say that although it is a wad of terry, I would like to find a serious one like this, new enemies very interesting and original just for their attacks, bosses that have inspired me (and you can see it in my creations) and it is really amazing like this wad despite having their terry traps is entertaining and much better than many wads of 32 levels, if you want to have something interesting to play and different as long as you ignore the story is fun filled with very good boss fights, excellent music, this is an option although if you can not stand the terry traps just do not try it   5/5 to be a joke wad   Gaia74

A quarter of a million monsters in a gigantic flat square room. It is said to be for stress testing source ports (and your PC?), otherwise it's on the other side of crazy. It took my PC nearly two minutes to load the wad (I thought it had crashed) and I took less than two seconds to die. At least it ran - the author says he never even managed that.

The first screenshot has a high viewpoint because an Archvile lifted me. The second shows it in the Eureka editor; seeing only about 4% of the area, and every red square is a heavyweight monster (yellow selecting a caco).  and Doomguy is in the bottom left corner. Eureka was crawling, almost unusable - how did the author even build this?

This was great. Great joke wad and a great Terry trap collection. Instead of the generic "Oh it's a well made map at first then BOOM" it's actually a well-made megawad that simply has them as little traps that can be avoided. It's able to be completed, seriously. That's new. I especially love the final boss and highly suggest using a cheat against him. Trust me, do it, it'll be worth it.

Are you up for a brutal, non stop challenge through detailed, but bland environments? The Secret Energy doesn't let up, so it's either a low health slaughter map or a speed runner's dream to get from switch to switch, all while enemies constantly spawn in with each button press. There's little health for such meaty enemies and even on the easiest difficulty, it's a slog to kill them all. To balance out the lower health, there are less hitscan enemies that seem to be relegated to a few chain gunners that can get distracted in a sea of madness.   It feels like a punishing experience from the first room. It fills with imps, then pinkies, then flying enemies, then revenants and a cyber demon. The entire map is like that. Enter a room and it will flood in via waves. Each wave opens up something new and you need to find where that new thing is. Is it a switch on a wall? Is it a switch inside of a pillar? Did a door just open up? Are you supposed to go back into the main corridors of the complex? At least on my first play through, I felt there was a poor flow to the level.   The place is so big and centralized, you might miss where you need to go next. No arrows, the switches are around corners and walls inside of rooms that may or may not have opened. The game has its detail, but detail with greens, browns, a few blue wires across the floors, perhaps to guide you to the next area. It was all lost on me and blurred together into a jumble. While the structures of each new room was different, it's the color scheme and darkness that stayed the same.   Give it a try. There is something redeemable in here for those hardcore enough to endure the first room, let alone the entire map.
