It's obvious that an enormous amount of work has gone into this, but it is let down by the game-play. There is far too much backtracking required. I managed to play it for about 30-40 minutes then decided not to bother with the rest. Should be 5/5, but due to boredom setting in, 3/5

I think this certainly one of the best wads.Doesn't make a lot of sense, but that's the fun of it.

Wow, talk about awesome. I wouldn't call myself a detailphobic, but I do opt for believability, and this was very realistic, compelling and even surreal. I can't help but muse happily over what kind of virtual world artists would create if there were more people with this kind of dedication. On another note, there are two types of detailing: smart detailing and inefficient detailing. I would put this wad and games like GTAIV in the second category and games like Portal and BanJo: N+B in the first. 5/5!

That's one of my favorite machine guns (but man it blows through ammo fast), but besides that it's only so-so. The opening, surreal area doesn't really fit with the fairly realistic city. It has no auto-map, and there are switches all over the place that do god knows what. It looks cool, but is too wide open for my taste.

I want to get this. This might be a very good wad and I it will because it is a good game.

We all like to wonder around without knowing what to do next, but texture choice was bad.

Interesting, but lacks direction, cohesion, and planning.

This was insane cool. I didn't like the first part of the map and some confusing backtracking throughout the massive city, but I can forgive it for how beautiful the map looks. 5/5

Quite an interesting map that seems to be under-rated...I mean cmon, only 4 stars? This easily deserves a 5!

Interesting concept, but not really worth playing. Gameplay needs lots more work. Also one section has horrible framerate, -1 star for that. 2/5

Nice looks. But the gameplay could use a fair bit of work.

I agree. It looks nice but the gameplay has to be better. Also why the hell did you remove automap? 4/5 Zalewa

It definitely makes Doom look darker, but also slightly changes colors (it reminds me PSX Doom). I prefer original Doom colors and miss how it looked on CRT (almost same colors as with modern monitors, but less brightness and maybe more contrast).

Great spirit/item placements, and also nice trap placements. Textures are georgeous and scream "1980's sci-fi action movie".

Some very cool techbases with a nice texture set and pallette.  The music is pretty epic.  And it all runs in vanilla! (Or so it is said, I played it in GZDoom)

I honestly can't believe that this whole megawad is 100% vanilla compatible and its only the first of THREE episodic megawads! Esselfortium and her team of creative energetic mappers has done an amazing job from the unique texture set, the music, the maps & even the tweaked color palette that fits the mood of the whole thing.    100% highly recommended! 5/5

A pretty straightforward map to run through, packing in tons of enemies in rooms both big and small. Most of the monsters you'll be killing are E1 monsters such as Zombiemen and Imps, so while there isn't much in monster variety, there are plenty of ways to get them to fight each other which I like. It might be better to try and get as many monsters to start attacking at the same time since once you get the Chaingun, not even the groups of Spectres are much of a threat. Overall though, the map is still fun to blast through if you just want to kill tons of monsters in packs.
