About This File

This was my first Doom map. My first creation for any game, really. A tipical 1994 WAD -and made in 1994, too-, with random scenery and misaligned textures. Not very interesting, but I know there are players who enjoy ugly 1994 wads... A refined -and much better- version of this map, done in 1995, appears in E2M3 of my megawad NIVELES.WAD.

It's not that bad. However I advise that you stick with constant texturing and try to keep the map centralized around a few sections only.

If there are people out there who enjoy ugly 94-style WADs, I am not one of them. 1/5

Not bad for a first map. The only issue I had was I had a little hard time locating the red key card. But overall it's not bad for a first try at mapping. My maps when I started, worked and looked a little like this. But once you get the hang of working with editors, you can expand your imagination. The major piece of advice I have is to double check your map for enemies that are likely to get stuck and the flow of the map. Still not bad for try #1. -Alando1

Instead of wasting your time with this, play some recent maps of the same author. Look at http://www.doomworld .com/idgames/index.p hp?id=12088, or http://www.doomworld .com/idgames/index.p hp?id=14634... But this is awful - 1/5.

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
