About This File

A large level with two different paths. UV is much harder than the other difficulties.

Epic!...bit slaughter-ish for my taste but those mountains were majestic...

Lots of monsters and detailed areas, feels more like a series of setpieces than a single large map. HMP provides a decent challenge without getting overwhelming; UV is harder, though not the ballbuster I expected from the description. Fine with me though, means I can actually beat it. A few minor mistakes but definitely worth playing, and the two paths give it decent replay value. 4.5/5 rounded up.

^So does Paris Hilton but she's a twat! This is a large map with 1000+ monsters. Some areas are akin to slaughter maps making for some pretty tough battles. I played this on UV -FAST and it took me about 3 hours to complete. Nice. 4/5

This really was not that fun or good looking, in my opinion. I appreciate the massive amount of effort the author put into this map, but it just isn't very fun. 3/5

Pretty tedious on UV, a lot of slowly picking apart rooms full of monsters.

It doesn't surprise me that this map is very good. Like everything else in life, the smarter you are, the better you are at something. Reading many of Phml's writings and posts, I can tell you that he is a very level-headed and intelligent individual. I suppose that is how he is able to predict what a good map should be. Aesthetically very nice, and the dual paths are done very well, thus increasing the replay value. Nice job, Phml. 5/5

I agree with the above (2) reviews. Fun map that I played twice (once each way). Some epic areas, and looks good throughout. I enjoyed both plays, though my favorite was definitely going to the left (i.e. into the ash caves and ending with the keys). That way felt more like and epic slaughter map to me.

Good map with some epic moments and some intense battles. Though sometimes it becomes tedious, and sometimes it makes you wonder what the author wanted to achieve. Interesting. 4/5

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
