Ahh the memories. Original for its time, but a bit dull even for a 1994 map.

This was E3M9 of HEROES.WAD. It has the single worst elevator in any Doom map. No joke, it takes about 2 or 3 minutes to reach the bottom! The rest of the wad was okay for '94 until that point, and then I just figured it was 1/5 material.

I had played the original version with the "ripped off sound samples" back in 1994/1995 :-) It was one of the first PWADs I ever played, also quite original for its time, now it seems kinda dull...it had the interesting sideffect of defeating the IDDQD cheat on Doom v1.1 registered ;-)
