About This File

An obvious sequel to Demons of Problematique. No cutscenes (aside from the ending), no new weapons, no new monsters, just Doom. With some fancy effects.

Be sure to turn up the music volume to above the SFX volume. Music is used sparingly but serves a purpose other than just background noise. There are plenty of ambient sounds to provide atmosphere during regular play.

If you are masochistic enough to want to subject yourself to the Nightmare! difficulty level, you can do so by entering the Hard level teleporter from the backside.

Requires GZDoom using it's OpenGL renderer, using the software renderer will not work. Looks best with dynamic lights enabled, shader options turned on and fog enabled. It was designed specifically for these settings, so the appearance of levels may not be the same if some of these one of these settings are disabled.

No known bug? Right at the start of map 4, I get "ACS: I don't know what PerkFist is". Nevertheless, very nice and *very* atmospheric.

I'm not going to leave a long review, so, to put it shortly, this wad has replaced Scythe 2 in my top 3 wads. 9.2... out of 5.

Hmm. This gave me mixed feelings... I loved the looks of it, but the maps pretty much rely on hallways and just monsters randomly thrown in at you. Map02 for example was 90% hallways... Gets boring after a while. I'll give this a total of 4/5, I've yet to play the last map so that might change. - Moti

This wad is great and the guy above obviously is not running on the LATEST version of GZDoom. And the fact that it's not loaded to the rim with new features is a plus IMO. Too many wads that are end up failing miserably. 5/5

Very atmospheric. It's like playing a completely different game... Except the author kept the core doom gameplay. Basically, the best of both worlds and a must try. 5/5

Overall I found this wad to be a great work of art through the structure of the maps. The detail of the maps were very well designed with very atmospheric pieces like light shining through a window. The only thing I had an issue with was that the easy setting seemed quite difficult for easy; I'm nervouse to see what the normal difficulty is. Anyway, still this wad was nicely done and is a master piece with a lot of effort put into it. -Alando1

Wow, this is excellent. I was so caught up in this (and the first game) that I couldn't stop playing until I cleared all the levels! It was so intense and creepy and exciting. Definitely one of the best sequel WADs I ever played in one of the best WAD sets I've ever played. (I hope there's a Demons of Problematique 3!)

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
