Not the worst episode replacement. That said, not even in the same city as the same ballpark as the best. Y'know, maybe when maps become as interesting as mowing the lawn, maybe you're not doing it right eh?

No, this is not good: contains missing textures causing HOMs, unclosed sectors, no secret map, bad final battle, texture misalignments. A bugfixed/updated version is needed and required. 1.5/5.

This gets a 5/5 from me. What the pitiful "Lost Episodes of Doom" back from 1994 didn't achieve, Khorus did - creating a convincing Jupiter setting. The final map and lack of secrets might be disappointing for some, but the episode is entertaining, atmospheric and well-designed. When E2 (and later hopefully E3) is/are done, it will be a great Doom 1 megawad. Download and play. - NightFright

Brought me back to the feeling of joy I got from playing through Doom for the first time. In a world of source ports and advanced features, it's heartwarming and wonderful to see WADs like this still being released for vanilla Doom. Do NOT pass up a chance to play this -- it's something truly great.

Author has talent but he's lazy as hell because never playtested this wad. 1* because 0.25 secrets per map are stupid. There's also a huge HOM in e1m3 that needs to be fixed asap.

Reviewers above are idiots for using a port that doesn't support vanilla rendering tricks.

Checked in Chocolate Doom, the HOM in the outside area of E1M3 is very visible as well as in (G)ZDoom. Also, you moronic troll, ports that can't render Vanilla tricks, don't remove secrets. 2/5

Not bad. The last map is underwhelming.

My goodness a vanilla mapset on 2009, for Doom 1! That's an auto 5 right there.

Excellent episode, great gameplay and level design. But there are only 2 secrets in the ENTIRE episode and 6 of the maps do not contain a secret at all. And plus there is no lava on Ganymede. Ganymede is mostly Water Ice, so levels 7 and 8 are probably more likely to be set on Io instead. Still a recommended download.

RAGEMAR! Let's calm down. :) Yeah, I found the HOM on M3 after I uploaded. Some people had already recorded some demos, so I didn't want to break them for a visual bug on a minor part of the map. I'll be combining all the episodes with the release of E3, though, so fixes can be introduced there while keeping the old version up at the same time. Secrets are to each his own, not a big part of the gameplay for me so I under use them. E2 should be better there. -Khorus

very good mapset in slightly unusual mapping style (both visual and gameplay). new sky is respectable. f/a demo recording on m5 was fucking epic... mainly because it too dark from start and sparse on ammo :P however, two things makes me sad: only 0.25 secrets per map and gameplay of m8. ****

Really enjoyed playing this - great challenge throughout, excellent oldschool action. Nice to a Doom episode that isn't just an E1 remake too. 5* -Phobus

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
