About This File

This is a rather small map, it is ment to replace the first map in a megawad, so do not expect high level monsters or weapons, it is mostly pistol fighting weaker opponents (But you may encounter a shotgun hidden in a secret area). The basic design of this map was inspired of the first level of Doom2.wad, "Entryway".

I love this one, it has nice pistol fighting with the easy monsters, cool tiny details (very tiny buttons and cables and stuff), nice shadows, good secrets. 5/5 - Optimus

Had no problem running this in GZdoom with the Plutonia iwad.Decent looking and a good start to a megawad/mapset.

Yes, to the first reviewer --- read the .txt file first ! It clearly states that the pwad requires plutonia.iwad. Besides that, an average wad.

heh. try to run this in prb+ with correct iwad then. and see what it is perfect example of map, badly corrupted by zdoom.

I give it 4 stars because while it's not much on its own, it would make a good start to a megawad. I anticipate the full release.

A very impressive looking "entryway' theme map despite the tedious pistol shooting former humans, imps & a single demon(although I did found that shotgun). Philnemba 4/5

wad seems to be corrupted: two identical map lumps (01-17), lots of incorrect texture names. and, of course, advanced engine (ie zdoom) badly needed. Pex, TEST and CHECK your crap BEFORE you upload it!!

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
