About This File

A random map I created in the space of Febrary 14th, one of my least favourite days of the year. The map itself is short, although challenging on Ultra-Violence. I tried to put more detail into this than the maps in Random SP as well.

Expected troll wad, but got nice and quite cramped level with good music choice.

Zombiemen depleting your life from a fake wall/window and being forced to tyson demons and imps because of lack of ammo while an archvile stands guard behind blue bars isn't fun. You can tell this supposedly Boom map was tested and balanced with Skulltag, the mapper obviously had no clue about the difference the forced autoaim, the BLOCKMAP bug and the lack of smooth mouselook make. In other words, ISN'T BALANCED FOR INTENDED SOURCE PORT. 2/5

Nice short map. I don't get it how some people are bothered by glass where you can shoot through and such stuff. The ammo is just right. Tough fights with arch vile and skeletons. Other than that, I enjoyed it. 4/5 - Optimus

A short, small-scale map with some cramped fights, one unfair arch-vile map and too little ammo. Infight abuse and perfect aim is required here, and even then you're likely to run out of ammo at some point. If the author had tested his BOOM map with BOOM he'd know that there's not enough ammo to account for the hitbox glitch.

Impressions: 1. Beautiful first room 2. Can shoot through glass windows, illogical 3. By the time the two lost souls came at me I started to find the map a little cramped 4. Very nice detail in the crate room! 5. Backpack is special, don't give me it right away 6. Appropriate challenge on HMP 7. I'm not used to that blue-silver texture being used to denote a lift.       These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

      A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

      Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

      Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

      It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
