This is total overrated garbage. I agree with the guy who discussed the ripped textures, ripped sprites... the gameplay outright sucks. What are some people thinking giving this 5 stars? This is totally rubbish! 1/5.

An example on how to use Realm667 resources right. 5/5

The only ZDoom mod I enjoyed, definitely a keeper. Looking forward to Unloved II, whenever that comes out.

The atmosphere of the wad is great. One of those wads were you have to put your mind to it and solve puzzles. 5/5 :)

It actually wasn't scary. That's not because of the ripped resources or anything (I'm okay with that because they're monsters that haven't seen much action as opposed to those goddamn Shadows), but because dark levels, aphex twin/silent hill music, and monsters popping out at you whenever you do anything just isn't truly scary. My rating would be pretty average but as it stands, I never liked hubs because they promote these inane switch/key hunts.

Very nice looking levels. I haven't played such a characteristic wad since Void. Most of the puzzles (switch-hunts) were not too confusing; the keys and the footsteps puzzle were well done; however some like the getting the blue skull key were a little confusing. The slaughter encounters were challenging yet didn't take forever to finish. I played it in two sittings because I couldn't stop playing until I finished. 5* - DeumReaper

Not bad. The design and atmosphere are really great, but the gameplay really wasn't. The uniqueness wore out after a while and became a boring hunt for where to go next. -TRRobin.

I'm giving this 0/5 because of boring gameplay, too much ripped resources, and for bastardizing Heretic golems in this pathetic and dull wad.

The ambiance was nice, but beneath all of the pretty textures and lighting, it's just a mediocre Gzdoom wad.

Silent Hill? In MY Doom? I'll take it! This WAD provides all of the following: good challenge, top-notch visuals and design, a few new bad guys, an interesting story, a very eerie soundtrack, and an awesome and foreboding atmosphere. Only cons I can think of? Difficulty was a bit too lame at a few points, i.e. a hallway where hellknights spawn on each end. But the bullcrap moments were very very few, so it's cool. Looking forward to see what Paul does next! 5/5

Wow, awesome job. Lots of nice ideas. I had a couple of gripes: At times it was confusing where to go next, some of the traps were a bit annoying and I felt the ammo was a bit lacking for the RL, Plasma, BFG. Took about 3.5 hours on UV. Still 5/5 for an excellent piece of work.

Atmosphere has already been mentioned, and it's true - this wad is heavy in that respect. Unfortunately, this is only a part of the battle. Gameplay isn't there for me, with too many cramped spaces and obnoxious fights. Some more variation would have been nice. 3/5 -Snakes

I think I lost my brain somewhere in the levels. To me it was a new experience in the DOOM playing.

If you like dark maps, you'll love this hub. If, however, you have any urge to admire, contemplate or even see where the hell you are, then you might want to pass. One of the weapons should have been modded to a headlamp.

It's always great to see an 'alternative' approach to doom mapping that is pulled off well, not every one of us wants the exact same kind of gameplay experience after dooming for years and dont mind seeing a mapper 'experiment'. Not everything goes right but so much of it does that I'm too busy having fun to care. This WAD has been crafted with skill and an eye for atmosphere and to give it anything less than a 4 is impossible, though I myself have given it a 5.

This is easily one of the most atmospheric wads I've ever played. You definitely need to make more in the spirit of this. Solid 5/5 from me.

Legendary atmosphere, I loved it. Didn't like the difficulty quite as much, but it's definately worth downloading if just to admire the artwork and scenery. Expect a rave review on the next /newstuff. 4.5/5 rounded up to 5 for awesomeness.

Obviously Silent-Hill inspired, not that it's a common theme in Doom maps or a bad thing. The levels are excellent, the ambiance is unsettling, and it's technically brilliant. The layout is complex, yet easy to navigate, and the hub system is clever. 5/5

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
