Atmospheric, scary, but still action-packed. Great WAD.

The best pwad done so far, as evidenced by their score. It is a perfect fusion Doom-Silent Hill 4. Graphically perfect, use the motor (G)ZDOOM to perfection. It is hard, aesthetic, cold. Perfect music and new enemies well used. The traps are like Silent Hill. It's Doom, it's Silent Hill, is better than both. Second part please.

Not my cup of tea but a real achievement and a good cross to bear for your hard work. I'd love to see something more classic from you sometime, not that this isn't great, but i'm a sucker for a real classic Doom feel. 5/5 for all things considered - phobosdeimos1

Absolutely amazing! I just finished playing through and it was truly an amazing WAD. I had started working on my own custom just before Unloved had come out, and now I only hope that my wad will be half as epic as yours =D

Battle is just the repeat of same things after all. With too many cramped spaces, player can be stuck easily and will take unexpected annoying damage, and sometimes it just takes so many hours to kill all of monsters. There should be more usage of stronger weapons like BFG, and less seeking projectile by monsters if there's a trap of mass monsters with no enough space for that, because this map contains very nice detail and lighting of gzdoom and I know you don't wanna add the extra space for that.

Enjoyed it very much--apart from the cool atmosphere and interesting hub traversal theme (obviously patterned most directly on Silent Hill 4: The Room), there's some very effective traps and a lot of use of large groups of smaller demons (read: so it still feels like DooM, action-wise). Here's to a sequel. --TDotW

Oi, moody but kind'a ridiculous. much of it is crawling through endless hallways carving through blocks of enemy flesh, which aint much fun. the lighting is nearly non-existent and when it is there you're either squinting so much you get a headache or going into epileptic seizures from the flashing. the HUD's great, gameplay's a pain. 2.5/5

Pretty darn spooky, actually. I was expecting something rather sub-par and not scary, but i could feel the tension and the atmosphere was perfect. If i have one complaint (that i wish i could direct to the entire doom mapping community) it's a plead to STOP using textures ported from Blood and Quake, they are ugly and grainy.

Atmospheric, although not scary as I'd imagined it might be. I liked the ending, particularly the trick with the mirros on the way. My main gripe is gameplay. It starts off well, with tight supplies. It then moves into tough with plentiful ammo and decent health. Then it turns into slaughters in tight places that aren't always well supplied, with too many archviles in bad places. 4* -Phobus

Amazing atmosphere, great usage of the hub system, great visuals, good gameplay with some minor problems (too much health lying around, some annoying monster-filled rooms). Still, a well deserved 5/5 and one of the best WADs of this year. Two thumbs up!

Brilliantly designed maps that give a feeling of psychological fear, just like that of the Silent Hill series. Great choice of music and a nice variety of monsters. Also, the ability to leave one area to finish something in another was an excellent one. To be honest, I find nothing wrong with this wad; not even the massive amounts of enemies. It makes it challenging and a worthwhile victory. 5/5

One of the classic megawads, and the successor to TNT Evilution. I've played this several times over the years, and its grown on me more with each play as my tastes mature.   Still has a bunch of maps that got me killed in 2024, after ive finished stuff like HR and AV, and plenty of maps are memorable. Only real downsides is some of the levels have little content, showing its age.

One of the earliest Doom user maps and It shows. Despite the raw and empty design, the author take a good use of 3D space creating a small fortress surrounded by mountains, the level Is fun to play and not hard. A fancy escapade and a piece of modding history.

Third and final released map of a WIP episode by David Rager, it's more long, complex and hard than the previous entries in the series. A well made map with pretty challenging parts with a mix of monster usage, envoirnmental hazards and some puzzle gameplay. Fun but pretty harsh.

Two more misplaced DM maps without a exit like QUDOOM (that at least had a exit room, while not functional) that caught me by their file name and leave me for the bad experience in SP. Chicken is just a long bridge between a thundering abyss where cyberdemons wants to destroy you, meh. Gangstar is a more fun map sets in a big, abstract warehouse where a cyberdemon roam free trying to kill you, shotgunners and lost souls are here in this Hell corner adding more pain to the thing, enforced by semi-hidden mazes, my favorite.

This is like the physical version of the "we have X at home" meme in DM map format for Quake E1M1. Very poorly made, broken exit and missing textures here and there but at least the level KINDA resembles the original source somehow.
