About This File

A modest size map with one particularly-harrowing marble room.

Meh. The usual open spaces, flat floors, senseless texturing and random mixtures of enemies. You are getting better; starting to break up your levels instead of making boring sprints to an exit switch. Next is learning how a stray Arch Vile can totally screw up your map's ammo balance. 1/5

ammo and health balance were just fine for me. Kill the arch viles, don't let them run amock. It's called *strategy* not poor mapmaking. Good map, 4 stars.

This map is mediocre at best. The monster placement makes me feel like I'm playing Oblige. The sad part is, from the looks of it, you could probably make a decent map if you really tried and took your time.

Wow. It wasn't terrible. Looked like shit played like silver. 4/5 for gameplay, almost genius at times, and 1.5/5 for aesthetics. focus a bit more on those next time.

2/5. Not terrible, but not actually worth playing. If this took 15 hours to make, then I'd have to say I pity you. This thing feels like an Oblige map; of course, that insults Oblige. At least Oblige knows how to vary sector heights and stick to some kind of theme. When I want to play levels that have no real design concept, but are sort of half-assed fun, then I'll generate them myself with Oblige; I don't need you to make them for me.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
