It's been a while since I played Bioshock but I could still recognize some of the iconic locations. Seeing Bioshock's scripted sequences reinterpreted for Doom was fun. The enemy layout feels mostly like an afterthought, though.

It's fun to play a map made by someone with a slightly different set of design tools and principles than most Doom mappers. Unfortunately, the map's guts also contain a fair amount of filler and so-samey-you-get-lost. The best areas are great, however (like the ne area). Just let it wash over you.

Nether really good looking nor exactly fun to play. It's a nice curiosity, being a demake of a 2007 FPS level made by one of that game's devs, but not much of a Doom map.

Too dark. What is this, Doom 3?

Large adventure map. Ambiance is basically very good, but lacks variation, and is often too dark. Layout is frequently quite rectangular, but the detailing helps; sadly it has a high copy&paste factor. Fights @ UV are not bad, but predictable, and the teleporting revenants are nice once but get annoying. Also the map has some anomalies and needs to be finished. All-in-all it is about a factor 3 too long. Despite the cons: 4* for a once-play experience.

Extremely unique map that has an empty, lonely feeling to it. This is the opposite of a slaughter map; you have to conserve ammo and take on small groups of monsters at a time - which is more challenging than it sounds (and fun). The author made a very poor decision to add an easy-to-find secret teleporter that allows the player to skip ALL the big battles near the end. There are also texture alignment issues. Still, a very unique map worth playing.

beautiful and replayable. a gem by one of the Bioshock designers. to think that a designer was a Doom fan, and decides to reinvent a more detailed level from a more detailed game into Doom, and make it work, is quite the feat. it succeeds spectacularly, with a palette that makes the place aquatic and moody, and even the gameplay works in a way similar to the real Arcadia, with teleporting monsters to watch out for and a number of places to explore. the excitement factor is diminished considerably given what we're working with, but every now and then a more atmospheric level with standard combat isn't bad, and this is one of the greatest examples of that.

A very cool experience overall. A pretty huge, non-linear level with some cool designs and decent action, although enemies were a bit sparse considering the size. Also, I couldn't work out how to re-open the blue door after it shuts. Still, I give it 4.4/5 stars for some excellent mapping!

A very fun and relatively strong representation of Bioshock's Farmer's Market/Arcadia floor under the Doom engine. 5/5 -Mr. Chris

Bang-on remake, loved all of the little Bioshock-isms thrown in and the new palette just sets the whole thing off. Always nice when the current pros see fit to contribute something here for us old codgers! Good stuff mate! 5/5 - scalliano

Great atmosphere, but a boring gameplay experience. Progress feels tedious, because it's hard to orientate in the samey (though complex) architecture. Typical case of laying too much weight on one aspect, while neglecting others. 3

Haven't seen level design this good since the start of Doom. Claustrophobic feeling reminded me of Doom 1, this is how good it is. Probably on my top 10 wads ever.

I really liked this. Very well built. Certainly one of the better built creations floating around the doom universe. Great atmosphere and cohesion. I've never played bioshock.

Pretty cool and atmospheric level. It starts out rather nonlinear, but that's never a distraction, and the level's structure becomes clearer over time, too. I found the end to be a bit anticlimactic, to be honest, but it's still very good.

Surprisingly confusing and while the atmosphere is great, visually, it is a bit redundant. Also, too much running around and non-linear gameplay for my taste. 4/5

Great level that even has fun replay value, and most levels just don't have that nowadays. A definite download, and I've never played the game it's based on.

This is one of the best Doom levels I've played. Clever use of teleporting enemies makes for some hectic battles. The music isn't great, but moody and gets the job done. Graphics are atmospheric, dark and made me stop and take a look at times. The level design/layout is splendid. A step above any of the original Doom levels for sure. Giving this 5 out of 5.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
