Wow, I've never played a map with so much switch hunting. The design feels random, which is a huge shame because otherwise it's pretty darn good. ^ What do you mean? Do you assume no one can beat half a dozen naxis?

Note for Risen3D users ... place the switch -c_nextmap on the command line, or you won't progress to level 32 if you use the switch to get you there ( a zdoom mapinfo issue ).

"WTF?" That's my comment for this map set. It's not good or bad at all with whatever situation. Stuck at Map32 because stupid command keen hunting and don't know how to go... :\ 2.5/5 -playerlin

MAP31 was easy, MAP32 was trickier...both levels looked good but would've looked a lot better if they weren't as bright (the outdoor fullbright in MAP32 is especially fugly.) 3/5

The Nazis in MAP31 really took it out of you. You can't possibly win on the first try. 3. ~That guy over there

The maps were of mixed quality with their own problems. However, it can be agreed upon that they both suck because of the common gameplay-breaking mapping tactic of switch hunting. It also doesn't help that it has shitty "art" from most likely the /h/ boards of 4chan, but the bleeding chick was surprisingly well-done (which leads me to believe that that pic wasn't from 4chan).

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
