great mapset, I like the level of detailing, not too much, not too little, the fights were fun and challenging good stuff!

Pretty cool! I didn't like the final map quite as much as the initial hub, but still, it was a lovely WAD. Recommended!

This wad is awesome on looking but... it's hard as shit, I don't mean it's bad when I say it's hard as shit. Just not my taste. 4/5 -playerlin

^ Whoever gave this 0 stars is an idiot. I loved this WAD. Maps with gothic, medieval, and/or hell themes really appeal to me, and this one had all three! The architecture was excellent, beautiful, highly original, and the game play was engaging. The only thing I didn't like was the last map--it didn't fit the overall theme and seemed to be too watered down visual-wise. Other than that, a very good WAD. 4/5

Very well done. Excellent Architecture makes a very different gameplay in comparison to other wads. Nice connection between the levels. Normal difficulty with some hard fights. 5/5

This is even much more impressive than Foodles' E2 set - which is great on its own right! How this averages below 4 while f_ep2 averages 4.5 (which is a deserved 4.5 IMO as well), is beyond me.

Good solid WAD to me the architecture really stands out in its excellence. Difficulty was fairly straight forward all the way through, I did feel some of the arenas were a bit poorly scripted in terms of fights but still challenging enough to be interesting. I felt the "new" monsters added to the levels and on the whole very restrained with regards to the Zdoom features, which is as I prefer.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
