About This File

All original "Made from scratch" level with lots of lifts, triplines, stairs and doors. Designed to be a solo or cooperative level but could be edited into deathmatch without much difficulty. Purposely, dark and confusing. Lots of monsters, lots of ammo, but just enough medical & stim kits to get you through. Goes to the Military Base - Secret Level upon exiting.

A respectable 3/5 stars. Good level design. Interesting battles. But too much health and ammo, no doubt. NT

I can't really agree with the post above mine. Very old and simple design and gameplay. Uninteresting battles. Feels like a 1996 wad or something like that. 2/5

It's an "all original made from scratch level" that used E1M1 as a base? lol

Good map. It is built from scratch - I suppose the comment in the text should be read as "it is an original E1M1". BTW, I don't know why there is a poster here who always insists on speculating on the date of the wad when the information is right there in the wad-file's date-stamp. Oh well.

^ If you're referring to the "timestamp" present here on idgames, that's just the idgames uploading date. This is an actually 1994 WAD -there are other clues such as use of DEU 5.1 (!) and mentions to "America Online". For the rest, it's a square 1994 techbase affair that for some reason was missing from idgames (somebody uploaded a whole bunch of this Phil Pesano's stuff form 1994 recently). Try it for that nostalgic feeling only 1994 WADs can give you. 3/5 -Maes

What a piece of classic shit. I like it. Too many ammo and... WTF happens about BFG and battery ammo in nears exit...I'm not the guy use overpowered weapons in original levels from user wad... so it's bad for me. :[ 3/5 -playerlin

^ You only get them because you exit to E1M9 afterwards, so it's just a way to have a blast through that level. Pure 1994 gimmickness ;-) 3/5

I agree with 3/5 stars, there might of been a little to much stuff because shotgun ammo was VERY plentiful and I was always maxed out on rockets to the Bruiser Brother Fight was a breeze. Otherwise I like the design and the enemy placement and quantity was challenging, just needs less rocket ammunition.
