Description : The REVISED version of RA presents 4 times better
sprites, revised weapons, realistic automatic fire
and several tweaks in terms of firespeed, accuracy
and firepower. Check WHAT'S NEW IN REVISED section
below 'What is included' section.
This mod is COMPATIBLE WITH BEAUTIFUL DOOM v. 5.0
(or newer, NOT OLDER), but it
doesn't require it, Russian Arsenal can work
standalone as well. As the title implies, it's
just a set of Russian firearms. And they don't
look too hot. But they work. But note, that
weapons with low accuracy CAN NOT be used for
sniping, because low accuracy applies to each
and every shot, including the first one (unlike
usually in Doom), except AK-74 (its single shots
are accurate). Check weapdesc.txt for more
information. There's also detailed description
of the guns inside DECORATE lump in the wad.

* WHAT'S NEW IN REVISED *
- NEW HI-RES SPRITES for all weapons.
- AUTOMATIC WEAPONS have realistic slightly VARIABLE FIRESPEED:
Pernach - 850-950 shots/min; AK-74 - 550-650.
- FISTS were removed -- not useful.
- Improved KNIFE: added powerful dash-stabbing alt.attack, improved Berserk
effects, attacks slightly more powerful (not it's a serious weapon, actually).
- NEW WEAPON: OTs-33 "Pernach": fully automatic 9mm pistol. Single shots are
more precise than Makarov's, full auto fire has a very large spread. Replaces
- MAKAROV: slightly increased firespeed.
- AK-74: single shots have low, but not zero spread now, while full auto
fire has larger spread than before (still smaller than Pernach's full auto
spread, as AK has longer barrel). Slightly increased damage.
- RG-6: now you do NOT need to hold down the alt.attack button to reload it,
thus you can control how many greandes you want to load; so if you're facing
a Hell Knight with an empty clip and you need to load only one grenade, you
won't have to wait till the player loads all 6 grenades -- just press alt.attack
once and here you go.
- RPG-7: improved smoke effects; added backblast zone: when you shoot
everything in several meters behind you gets heavily damaged.
- RICOCHET: similarly to Beautiful Doom 5.1: improved BulletPuff effects,
added ricochet sparks, etc.
- CASINGS, DEBRIS, ETC.: similarly to Beautiful Doom 5.1 -- casings and blood
disappear after a while when you don't see them, blood actually drowns in
