About This File

An almost full episode of challenging & fun (I hope) levels. These took me a danged long time to write and playtest, so I hope you appreciate them. Please play them on Ultra-Violence. Read levels.txt for a description of each individual level. Pkunzip LMP.ZIP for the LMP files.

Giving this 1994 mapset 0* vomit because it doesn't meet 2015 standards, doesn't show smartness, but 5* is also over the top. Because rated as 1994 maps, this has some interesting details and on places fun gameplay, but also too many severe flaws. Overall: better than meh, but below average, so 2.5/5, + .5 bonus for the effort because author didn't have nowadays hardware, style guides and DB2.

You call this a mapset? Really? These don't even pass for rough drafts of ideas. Utter unplayable crap. Your friends upvote this? Rubbish.

Pretty good, although it is a set of "puzzle fights" rather than straightaway action. That is, you generally need to figure out various fights and traps to survive. This makes it somewhat frustrating the first time around. [3/5] ~Chain Mail (08/2012)

For a 1994 level, this isn't actually half bad, but it does have its warts, so unless you're looking for a nostalgic experience, you may want to skip on this. 3/5 considering it IS 1994 (so contemporary quality standards don't apply). - ZZ

Old school 1994 shitty wad as usual. 2.5/5 for 1994 standard. But don't think it would be good. -playerlin

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
