About This File

After defeating the Baron in KNEE DEEP IN DEAD, Satan greeted you with a new challenge. He put you on a detour to his personnal playhouse. OH, did I mention, it was in HELL? And the rules aren't fair? You just look, grin, and chuckle. You make the first step toward the playhouse, and you are teleported into the center of it. So now inside of the heart of all that makes evil fun, all you can think about is knocking the crap out of Satan's little hench men.

Playhouse in HELL was fun, but now you're moving past that chaos. You hit the switch to stop this nightmare and continue blowing up all of HELL.. But after you flip the switch, did you leave the Playhouse? You turn and re-open the door. It must've been the Playhouse last trick. You find yourself right at HELL's Mansion. Home of Satan and his creatures. What does one make of this......A MESS that's what. Time to grab up your weapons, move on and continue the trail of blood (and mess Satan's nice floors, hehehe)!

After such a HELLISH night, you decide to return to a nice (yeah right) little hotel you know, The Under Arms. The security and staff of Satan's hotel come out to greet you (and you have a shotgun for them to meet). The creatures around the entrance decide they want a piece of you too! So it would appear that you're going to have one more big confrentation before you can catch your Zzzzzzs! So what are you waiting for, go to it!

I wanted to like this because I've enjoyed fiffy's levels before, and it was OK at first. I then entered a corridor painted with eyes or something, opened a door and ran into HOM Central. I exited in disgust after that.

Absolute garbage. "No known bugs" huh? Go get your eyes checked. 0/5. If I could give it negative I would.

The Fiffy level was also released separately. I think it may be in the archive by itself. All the levels show REoL-styled-slaughte r monster placement, often clogging rooms or halls. Morris' levels are crappy (especially the first one) but Fiffy's is the more annoying one because to exit you must find a yellow key that's hidden in an extremely obscure way. Heh, I'm still wondering what that decoration in the first room is... (You'll see it only if you apply the graphic replacements.)

These HOMs I think was intended by author, because on e2m2 they "imitate" furniture mirrors and such. :o If somebody said "enjoyed fiffy's levels before" then he is should knew about such things. :P Just for me these fiffy's levels are shitty trash.

E2M1 isn't too bad, but other 2 are. I can only found some fun with sv_fastweapons 1 in them...:p Some inescapable area cause me stuck and must use noclip cheat to out, and weird HoMs for some reasons...it still have some small fun but otherwise, they're sucks. 2/5 -playerlin

Hey, even "King ReoL" had to start somewhere. Not one of his better works, that's for sure, and even if he got much better later on, he would remain unpalatable for some. I wonder how this could remain outside of idgames all thouse years though, it's not like King ReoL has many of unreleased gems. Interestingly, he DOESN'T call himself "King ReoL" in this one, it's definitively not one of his first ones (real date 1996) and it's one of the few made in collab. with someone else. Meh dunno. 2/5 -Maes

Several of Fiffy's levels aren't as bad as they're sometimes made out to be, but this isn't one of them. It's a horrible-looking level with matching gameplay; many newbish mistakes, stupid design decisions (e.g. intentional HOMs) and more. It's like the worst of 1994 - but it's 1996, so there's no excuse. 0/5. - ZZ

There's a pretty nifty toilet in E2M2, But I didn't get much farther, got bored of shotgunning hordes of dudes in hallways. It's not very challenging, and fewer better placed monsters would have been more interesting. Some cool areas and ideas though.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
