About This File

A huge map for doom 2 which takes placed in a city. I think It's the nicest map i've done until now. If you enjoyed with Colossus, you'll love this one, but i have to advice you that it's REALLY HARD, so be carefull and don't play without freelook, or you will die every 10 seconds XD. Hope you like it )

Looks awesome, one of the best looking city maps using stock textures. It's fun to play and the monsters appearing behind all the time keep you on your toes. Ammo placement is a bit off though, and there is a bit too much room to run round in once you leave the start area. (although this doesn't affect the final area due to it's layout)

Looks pretty, but the layout and gameplay are both atrocious. Boring as hell.

Again, nice designed level but screwed up with bad gameplay and something else...Glad see Wraith actually can made good level like this... I guess he needed try playing his map like a casual DooM player because it's so hard like designed for DooM-god or some uber players like that...yeah, I beat it but...feel like it's "High Frustration"! 3.5/5 -playerlin

This is dated July 2011; it's Map13, and it's huge. One of those manly, meaty levels where you face 500+ baddies. The squared-off techbase style is, as review #1 points out, reminiscent of Michael Krause (of id=9312 fame), but much larger. Staggering to look at. Crucially, not a huge amount of fun to play - the monsters generally kill each other, so you just run around a lot. In fact, you can run through most of the level. You have to see it, though.

This is a very good map. Huge cityscape, very well-rendered and visually appealing; the monsters high up on various structures throughout can be annoying, though. Could've benefitted from secrets (there's only one, and it has a switch right out in the open); other than that, quite nice. 4/5 - ZZ

Most of your wads need more work, specially with difficult seetings. But this one is quite funny and visually one of the bests maps i've played ever.

well, the most decent map of wraith, the design is great and the difficulty is not so hard than in your other maps like colossus, the dark lands or your heretic maps 4/5 and before the others say that this map is shit, first play it

Fucking dumbnuts playing on UV and yelling "OMG,IT'S SO UNBALANCED!!!!" If a map is advertised as hard, and you can't play well, pick a goddamn lower difficulty setting. Oh,and it wasn't too hard even on UV. The balance is all right and you DO have where to hide, as most of the corridors have walls you can duck behind. So anyway, I felt really good playing this map, it had nice flow, great architecture, a nice oldschool feel and nice difficulty and monster placement. So overall, 5/5, really impressive!

The design and looks of this map are pretty good. The overscaled architecture reminded me of Michael Krause maps. The gameplay wasn't all that exciting. Because there is a lot of room to maneuver, it isn't that hard to run past the hordes of monsters to flick a switch. Using lots of arachnotrons and spider masterminds brought some challenge but not enough.

Hard, frustrating sometimes, but good overall. Don't understand that low score -- 4/5 Eye

Well previous Wraith maps had fairly nice looks but awful play. This has excellent looks but poor play. A clear step up, but clearly the play needs many more.

It's OK. Lot's of detail and somewhat unique, but not a huge ammount of fun.

This is actually pretty good! At least it's washing away the bad taste of the Terry wads. 4/5

I love Quake, it's my favorite Shooter, and I totally forgive the lack of detail and technical refinement that Mapper concluded here, but I have to say that even though the map is still recognizable compared to the classic E1M1 from Quake... The map just doesn't have such a refined texturing, a good light variation, and many of the areas don't even carry the classic Quake identity, as the best example: The part where we get the Nailgun, there aren't even monsters and an encounter with Zombiemans in that room , there is very little positive to consider here unfortunately, but it was a bit fun in some parts. Either way, there are a lot of negative things that make it impossible to ignore while playing the level, a horrible map, how sad.

Normally I would define these two maps as maps with interesting premises whose execution does not positively complement the result, Chicken.wad has such a simple layout that it is disappointing at first sight, which keeps you at a higher height than Cyberdemons that you They wait in sectors that flash between dark and very light, I can only be direct in saying that although the battle between the Cyberdemons is fun, the map doesn't present you with anything other than that, and it is even impossible to cross the other side of the bridge endless to eliminate the rest of Cyberdemons. Completing Chicken (Even though Chicken doesn't have an exit on his map.).   Let's go to Gangstar.wad, you can see a somewhat open space, different from the previous experience, but with the classic theme of a UAC warehouse style E2M2 from DOOM, but the boxes here are a little distorted? (Perhaps spacetime begged the mappers not to finish the maps so it distorted the map space causing this visual curse.) As much as the open spaces of the map are fun to navigate, the fun is short-lived with several of the structures being distorted. carrying with them ill-adjusted texturing. Clearly a superior map to the previous one, but unfortunately still poor, the repetitiveness of the texturing, plus a bland design and several other missing details, make this map yet another disappointment unfortunately.   The verdict is that both maps are completely disposable, I would love for the mappers to continue with their work after such complicated work, so they would at least be able to build more and improve the quality of their design work.

One of the classic megawads, and the successor to TNT Evilution. I've played this several times over the years, and its grown on me more with each play as my tastes mature.   Still has a bunch of maps that got me killed in 2024, after ive finished stuff like HR and AV, and plenty of maps are memorable. Only real downsides is some of the levels have little content, showing its age.

One of the earliest Doom user maps and It shows. Despite the raw and empty design, the author take a good use of 3D space creating a small fortress surrounded by mountains, the level Is fun to play and not hard. A fancy escapade and a piece of modding history.

Third and final released map of a WIP episode by David Rager, it's more long, complex and hard than the previous entries in the series. A well made map with pretty challenging parts with a mix of monster usage, envoirnmental hazards and some puzzle gameplay. Fun but pretty harsh.
