AFAIK it is just a trademark of the "Red Cross" nothing more and nothing less. Either way, I think it's stupid to go all nuts about someone replacing it with a cresent moon, what's the deal? It's not like he's going to start a holy war if you don't use/enjoy this wad. Religion is just stupid!
