About This File

A 3 episode vanilla megawad for Doom 1 containing a total of 27 maps. Set on one of Jupiter's moons called Ganymede, this wad should provide a challenge for a wide variety of skill levels ranging from the humble newbie to veteran speedrunner. Each episode has it's own progression rather than the usual base -> hellbase -> hell.

It would be better if the skybox changed every episode. Oh well.

Fan-f@#king-tastic!! Best Doom 1 megawad I have ever played... best use of Doom 1 monsters EVER. Cannot speak highly enough about this mapset... boss levels weren't as challenging as the normal levels, but it was the same in the Iwads as well.... E1M8 was a nice gimmick..... PLAY THIS NOW!!

One of the top Doom I megawads. Good level designs and lengths, a sense of oldschool play that oddly manages to stray (in a good way) from ever truly just mimicking original styles. And oddly I like the DTWID-planned soundtrack appearing in here as well. It's time this project FINALLY gets a legitimate cacoward, in eleven months that is. 5/5

Its just a back to the basics, no nonsense, distilled essence of Doom Doomery here. You never know whats coming next because each new encounter is just so damn different from the last. Visuals are exactly what they need to be. They are elegantly simple and faithful to the original iwads while at the same time adding having their own flair. 5/5 -FoH

Brings the challenge of some harder Doom II WADs to the first Doom. Prepare for loads of Sergeants and Imps at all times, and Barons like to join the party, too. Level design is great, and the skyboxes contribute a lot to the Jupiter scenario. Cacoward is well-earned, and anything not liking this does not know what's good. :) 5/5 - NightFright

1 stars - slick enough, but very average. I don't know how this got 4 stars.

I dunno how this got such high scores. It's alright but the map design is really repetitive. 3/5

I agree with some people reviews about the design and gameplay aspects being a little repetitive, but it's a solid piece of work and well worth playing. 4 Stars.

Four stars. Why not five? Because it's a repack.

Basically quite well done, must have been a lot of work. However, overall architecture is repetitive, and playability becomes quite predictable after a few maps - so gets a bit boring due because of no real surprises. Overall: solid 4/5

This is abolutely excellent. The only thing I dislike about this wad is overuse of revenants.

Pretty darn good vanilla dooming with many surprise attacks coming from all directions keeping difficulty up and the player on their toes. Just short of greatness. 4/5. -TRRobin.

A great map set I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for all the effort you put into polishing this up, it really shows. A great mix of old school gaming style and new(er) aesthetics, I really had a great time playing this and I'll be looking for your other maps. An unabashed 5 star masterpiece. -Sir TimberWolf

Amazing design and excellent gameplay. You could say these are as good as the original Doom levels but the truth is their 10x better. Well done and thank you.

Most detailed classic wad I ever seen. Unfortunately, gameplay isn't always on par with the looks.

One of the classic megawads, and the successor to TNT Evilution. I've played this several times over the years, and its grown on me more with each play as my tastes mature.   Still has a bunch of maps that got me killed in 2024, after ive finished stuff like HR and AV, and plenty of maps are memorable. Only real downsides is some of the levels have little content, showing its age.

One of the earliest Doom user maps and It shows. Despite the raw and empty design, the author take a good use of 3D space creating a small fortress surrounded by mountains, the level Is fun to play and not hard. A fancy escapade and a piece of modding history.

Third and final released map of a WIP episode by David Rager, it's more long, complex and hard than the previous entries in the series. A well made map with pretty challenging parts with a mix of monster usage, envoirnmental hazards and some puzzle gameplay. Fun but pretty harsh.

Two more misplaced DM maps without a exit like QUDOOM (that at least had a exit room, while not functional) that caught me by their file name and leave me for the bad experience in SP. Chicken is just a long bridge between a thundering abyss where cyberdemons wants to destroy you, meh. Gangstar is a more fun map sets in a big, abstract warehouse where a cyberdemon roam free trying to kill you, shotgunners and lost souls are here in this Hell corner adding more pain to the thing, enforced by semi-hidden mazes, my favorite.

This is like the physical version of the "we have X at home" meme in DM map format for Quake E1M1. Very poorly made, broken exit and missing textures here and there but at least the level KINDA resembles the original source somehow.
