About This File

For those Doomers who dislike puzzles, but do like the blood and guts, this is the Wad for you. Actually a good training mission for multi-player gamers. The setup is fifty plus rooms of bad guys. The doors are narrow so players will have to take turns being point. I don't believe the level is completable in single player mode without a major Dehacked job.

Just a series of same-y room filled of monsters and guns, looks like a slaughtermap version of ORIGWAD. it was boring for me.

Too bad I just feel too boring after first 10 rooms.. it seems would be some fun when you needed killing shit. But after that, you may feel your time just wasted. 1.5/5 (-0.5 for get boring too fast...before get BFG and blow shit out!)

^ This is from 1995, child. Read this description. This is a decent wad for its time.

No, this was a poor wad in 1995. A lot of people were making good and creative wads back then, and this has neither quality.

Why do I have the urge to listen to Al Corley's Square Rooms right now...

On one hand, it's just the same rooms and monsters copypasted a bunch of times. On the other hand, it's still heaps more fun than stuff like id=13597, to which I gave 2/5. So, 3/5.

I once sat and tried to finish this. The gameplay actually changes if you manage to clear (or run through...) the first 25 rooms and once you get the BFG and PL clearing the remaining 25 (plus some wall trickery) is more fun, but still... if you really want a challenge try to speedrun this. 2/5 for the nostalgia factor. -Maes

"I don't believe the level is completable in single player mode without a major Dehacked job." Wrong. It's definitively completable even on UV, not to say NM, it's just incredibly boring/long to do so.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
