Good old fashioned dooming. Not remarkable but solid none-the-less. What else can be said? 4 stars. -TRRobin.

Absolutely phenomenal, an evocative and engrossing pick me up go rambo slug a fest with bare bones architecture but a good emphasis on setting the atmosphere of the level, theirs a good assortment of surprise ambush traps which make you slow down and consider your next move. I loved the difficulty pace, starts off slow and steady then ends with a Plutonia esque meaty finale. It get's a 5 as it keep me hooked from beginning to end and I'd definitely replay it again. -Bloodite Krypto

^I was a little unsure about the critisms as I only used vanilla features but have come to realise that for lowering floors with monsters inside, you need the room to be a sufficient height to start off with for the floor to lower in vanilla, this does not apply to boom compatibility. I never knew that so put it down to a noob error. I shall test things in it's intended port and not use assumptions again. Apologies for this

Great wad but there is some problems....There are some areas where you can go but you can't come back without IDSPISPOPD -cheat. 4/5

Great looking levels with cool architecture, epic scope, and just the right amount of detail. Tons of traps, including a massive E1M7 trap. But the fights are a little easy because there's so much health, ammo and dodging room. The only thing I found brutal was fighting the grey-room Cyb in E1M7. Still, this mapset is brilliant, one of the best E1 replacements I've played, and I've played Fava Beas and Double Impact. Bravo, Cannonball! 4.25/5 -- Steve Duff 1/4/2013

Good job, fun to play however the traps do become a bit expected as you progress through the levels. Also there are a couple of problems with some of the maps i.e. E1M6: some lines have no sides, tutti frutti in a couple of places and traps that don't work (monsters can be seen stuck in ceilings - floors not lowering). Maybe a boom compatible port is required. 4/5 dwrTag

It is somewhat predictable but the action is pretty good if you don't play too cautiously and keep the pace going, and it's not too hard (I dies only once on e1m6). One thing I'd criticize is that -complevel 3 wasn't used while testing. The main bug from that was a couple of places where monsters never lower from their closets, in e1m5 and e1m7, making the maps a bit easier in vanilla behavior. At least, those bugs didn't make the levels impossible to complete. [3/5] ~Chain Mail (08/2012)

Very good episode, another successful speedmap attempt esque KSSHT (though the style is different). I hope this author completes more Doom I episodes. A whole megawad of this would be great!

One of the classic megawads, and the successor to TNT Evilution. I've played this several times over the years, and its grown on me more with each play as my tastes mature.   Still has a bunch of maps that got me killed in 2024, after ive finished stuff like HR and AV, and plenty of maps are memorable. Only real downsides is some of the levels have little content, showing its age.

One of the earliest Doom user maps and It shows. Despite the raw and empty design, the author take a good use of 3D space creating a small fortress surrounded by mountains, the level Is fun to play and not hard. A fancy escapade and a piece of modding history.

Third and final released map of a WIP episode by David Rager, it's more long, complex and hard than the previous entries in the series. A well made map with pretty challenging parts with a mix of monster usage, envoirnmental hazards and some puzzle gameplay. Fun but pretty harsh.

Two more misplaced DM maps without a exit like QUDOOM (that at least had a exit room, while not functional) that caught me by their file name and leave me for the bad experience in SP. Chicken is just a long bridge between a thundering abyss where cyberdemons wants to destroy you, meh. Gangstar is a more fun map sets in a big, abstract warehouse where a cyberdemon roam free trying to kill you, shotgunners and lost souls are here in this Hell corner adding more pain to the thing, enforced by semi-hidden mazes, my favorite.

This is like the physical version of the "we have X at home" meme in DM map format for Quake E1M1. Very poorly made, broken exit and missing textures here and there but at least the level KINDA resembles the original source somehow.
