About This File

The entry level that was supposed to be part of an episode. due to lack of time iv'e decided to release it as a standalone to see if my design and gameplay worth something.

Cool level. Very nice architecture & detailing, making good use of Heretic's limited stock resourced. The level design is very interconnected and looping, with areas gradually opening up. It's overly sparse on ammo in the beginning, but gets better as it goes on. In general the gameplay is good, although it could've been more varied/exciting (you face mostly low-tier enemies and only get the crossbow & gauntlets).

Really good map, ideal starting point for a episode, do you hear me SFoZ911?

Appealing architecture, clever monster placement, good usage of Heretic's texture, nice layout, all around a very good map for Heretic. A bit short, with only 60 monsters to kill and 3 secret areas to discover; but that's not a problem. It makes me wish to see the rest of the episode some day.

The architecture in this map is flawless, but it is boring, needs a better item/enemy placement, but it is indeed a good map.

Nicely detailed map with decent gameplay and a good layout. The Heretic textures are used very nicely here. - DeathevokatioN

Feels like a DM map poorly converted to SP.

Very congenial map, but this map is regular andd boring. I did not see anything special except the graphics.

Nice map. Definitely would have been nice to see the full episode. Giving it a 3 because it's just way too easy and because it's using exit map textures for things that aren't exits.

You mapping is absolutely worth it. I haven't played anything as immersive as you litte map for quite a long time. Beautiful, but not distracting. Great gameplay, pretty good flow, and it was overall pretty neat even if for just one level. I really liked Town of Aquafort, and considering Heretic doesn't have as much love, consider continuing. You are certainly good at it. 5/5

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
