About This File

A semi-realistic post-apocaliptic remake of Doom 2's map16 - Suburbs. Extremely non-linear gameplay full of optional areas to explore with a sandbox felling. You can enter inside any building of the map. Explore all the houses to find supplies, and find your way out of this hell on earth.

The level design just awesome but the difficulty and boring-age will be too high(at least in UV) if player cannot found powerful weapons which needed go to every houses in the level with some confusing about "Where should I go?" or "Where is the goddamned keys/weapons?!". Secret to BFG9000 is cool but not easily to found. 4/5

Bad rip-off of Suburbs. Even comparing this to Duke 3D maps is an insult.

Pretty good urban-style map, somewhat reminiscent of Duke 3D's city levels. Lots of fun exploration and decently challenging combat. I can say that I enjoyed few of this author's maps way, way more that gameplay mod (that Shall Not Be Named) of his.

5 out of 5 stars. This is an AMAZING (as realistic as Doom 2 can get) map. I love and admire the amount of realism put in it. It reminds me of Knee Deep in Z-Doom. I wish someone would do the same with the other Doom 2 Levels.

This map has everything which I want from a Doom wad--a great ambiance, a detailed, logical environment, some fun chaos, and a good, but fun challenge. I was genuinely very sad when I got to the exit and it was over. 5/5 because, for me, this is the best classic Doom map which I have seen. And "After the Holocaust" comes in a close second.

Very cool, liked it a lot - wish it'd been more than one level, though, I was a bit disappointed when it just ended. Red skullkey secret was a bit annoying - would be nicer to not have to make a mad dash for the key in cramped corners where you can easily get caught. Still a well-deserved 4/5 - pretty darn good. -ZZ

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
