Mixed feelings about this. Would probably be more enjoyable with some hitscanner attention and wacky color removal. Halfway in got too boring

STOP USING DARK CLOAKED ENEMIES IN DARK AREAS, and overpowered monsters, I would give 5 if I'm playing co-op game, but for SP...I only give 3, too hard with shitload of hitscan and BFG zombies...really? Later maps feels more fun, and MAP16 just pure awesome, but other than that, just so-so... :| 3/5 -playerlin

This is a great DooM Wad! I would've paid for something like this back in the 90's! Great graphics, great level design, and challenging gameplay :) 5/5 *****

the gameplay unfortunately is insane. lots of hitscanners, often randomly scattered on open fields, places with 0 brightness, powerups scattered everywhere. some of the new enemies weren't good, also the fist doesn't work for me. what i liked though was the design, sprites, and music.

Lots of work. Having said that: too often too dark, too cramped, and way, way too repetivite. Recoloring feels like a primitive coloring book. Water shouldn't damage. Invisible & BFG monsters should be used rare. Gameplay feels like fighting just a bunch of monsters in just a few rooms, over and over and over again. In other words: most levels simply have no decent gameplan / leitmotiv, and everything looks exchangeable. So sadly the adventure gets boring way too quickly. 3* because of the effort.

WAD picks up after few maps. I didn't like the difficulty of hitscanners. 3/5 - Zalewa

This gets a 5 from me. A bit chaotic, but with plenty of nice touches. The new graphics, weapons, and monsters spice things up. A blast the whole way through.

Some of the levels are pretty dark, although that's not the worst thing because the architecture is pretty bland and the design is boxy and a tad monotonous. The changes in monsters and weapons mix things up but don't really change the game drastically, and it lacks those little touches and refined improvements that bump this up into classic territory. It's really in between a 3 and 4.-Plastic Animal

One of the classic megawads, and the successor to TNT Evilution. I've played this several times over the years, and its grown on me more with each play as my tastes mature.   Still has a bunch of maps that got me killed in 2024, after ive finished stuff like HR and AV, and plenty of maps are memorable. Only real downsides is some of the levels have little content, showing its age.

One of the earliest Doom user maps and It shows. Despite the raw and empty design, the author take a good use of 3D space creating a small fortress surrounded by mountains, the level Is fun to play and not hard. A fancy escapade and a piece of modding history.

Third and final released map of a WIP episode by David Rager, it's more long, complex and hard than the previous entries in the series. A well made map with pretty challenging parts with a mix of monster usage, envoirnmental hazards and some puzzle gameplay. Fun but pretty harsh.

Two more misplaced DM maps without a exit like QUDOOM (that at least had a exit room, while not functional) that caught me by their file name and leave me for the bad experience in SP. Chicken is just a long bridge between a thundering abyss where cyberdemons wants to destroy you, meh. Gangstar is a more fun map sets in a big, abstract warehouse where a cyberdemon roam free trying to kill you, shotgunners and lost souls are here in this Hell corner adding more pain to the thing, enforced by semi-hidden mazes, my favorite.

This is like the physical version of the "we have X at home" meme in DM map format for Quake E1M1. Very poorly made, broken exit and missing textures here and there but at least the level KINDA resembles the original source somehow.
