The title says it all, "Maps by my 6 year old son" is an easy, fun, basic romp with BFGs, clusters of big enemies and no need to kill any of them. The 5 maps made by a 6 year old are easy and basic, but playable. There is a working lift, a crusher ceiling, working doors with door tracks, keys, transporters and exit tiles. Its several of the building blocks that should make up every Doom level.

For the most part, the geometry is square and flat, with no pillars, stairs or detailed textures. While the simplicity alone might be bad, there are more complex "typical" levels that are less fun and more frustrating. This pack of 5 levels is short and sweet at a mere 5 - 10 minutes but worth it just to see the simplest things stand out. Suddenly having a lift to a blue key is a monument.

Its almost a level of 1994 fan creation, but without the frustration or cluster phobic hallways. Everything is broad and easy to dodge. Whether it was made by a child or not, its just unconventional because its so below the bar of a typical level and that adds to the novelty and charm.

Not much to say here. All maps can be cleared without even firing a bullet. Since these were made by a 6 year old, I won't too harsh.

Having played this, I think they are remarkable for a 6 year old. Kudos to you little one. You've made us proud!

It has that nifty 1994 shovelware vibe. First time I've seen a horde of cyberdemons too. But last map crashes at load time, so only 4/5.

I've seen much, much worse. Still, you should probably leave map-making to professionals, preferably those who have reached puberty and have some degree of computer expertise.

the first map is hard stuff (w/o bfg9k use), but cool. Like the trap, I was like, "Should I skip this?". Good for starters. ~2/5

I am giving this wad 5 stars because for starters,it was made by a 6 year old. That alone shows that the young man is intelligent. The maps are okay, but as he gets older,of course he'll get better. While I'm not a mapper myself,I have played enough wads to know what's good an what's not.Keep up the good work young man. Also, the best of luck to you.You deserve it!

At face values, these maps are pretty poor with the quality decreasing as you proceed. The maps are pretty flat and ugly but the gameplay is pretty nice. This is a real achievement for someone so young. 3 stars

Well I give it a 4-star as a constructive criticism, since it is astonishing how a 6-year old can make better maps than anyone who released wads like WOW or the Gamarra series, just to mention any. The remaining one star is the goal to fulfil in your future works, Dylan! :)

Considering this was made by a 6 year old kid, this is actually pretty damn good. I was especially fond of the surprise baron and cyberdemon at the start of map 3. As a fellow mapper, I think you're gonna do great out there kiddo.

I'm not sure why you uploaded this. All the maps are obviously awful; yes a 6 year old made them, but that doesn't excuse the matter of fact.

This WAD is not good - obviously - but idc how old the author is. Nonetheless, still one star because if you can already map at 6 then you're gonna do great ;)

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
