About This File

"Pesha" is a series of three limit-removing maps, each one made in a single sitting for the Stanimap- ping contest. Maps, while thematically connected, are meant to be played from pistol start.

First map(map28) looks not bad in visual but totally pointless, even I just play map29 and nothing lost. Map30's blue key room just too unfair, easily get stuck and slapped by hell knights. The final battle is nice but again, unfair like blue key room...for me. :p Other than those flaws, the levels are good and short. 3.5/5 -playerlin

A somewhat uneven set with better and worse spots. Nice for a quick diversion, though.

Loving the apocalyptic theme and the Hebrew names of the maps! This is very impressive for one sitting, and the monsters opening the archvile walls was brilliant. Wish this was longer, a fun 15 minute blast here. 4/5

The apocalypse has come, people. Someone made an Icon of Sin battle that I liked. (ok, I also liked ksutra map30 but not for the battle itself) Anyways, the first two maps feature very easy/simplistic gameplay but has really impressive landscapes, so be sure to take a look at them. The last map doesn't impress visually but it is quite fun to play. Neat unusual traps, and monsters opening pillars that you're using to hide from the arch-vile = awesome. :)

Fun. The first map was strangely short, with barely more than a handful of (small!) monsters, but the second and third one had more action, and I liked them all due to the way they felt, too - different from how DOOM is usually done, probably due to the mega-architecture, wide open outdoor spaces, and the fitting music. 4/5 ZZ

The final boss map layout in the end was hell. You got to fix the pattern loop in the .mod audio files. ~2/5

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
