Too much ammo. Cramped places with nice detail(in 1994 standard), going wrong place and you dead or just restart the level again(only one place is safe, the dark area near the starting place).

Challenging? Sure but I guess not everyone love that kind of challenging, at least for this 1994 WAD, I should not complain too much...but the place where SSG stored just..nah...it would be nice if the elevator to the SSG should use different texture, even the automap would give clue but I never found it until I spend 10+ minutes and countless save/load to cleared whole level then I finally found the elevator to it...and found useless because I already got 100% kills.

At least it doesn't a boring level, but frustrating in higher diffaulty for sure.  3/5

Considering that this is really old, this is actually quite awesome. A 20 year old WAD that looks decently and offers some challenge.

This map is a little bit challenging and not in the good way. The detail to the level is nice, but its too cramped for the number of enemies in the map.

Not devoid of merit but gameplay is total bullshit on UV skill and somewhat bullshit on HMP: spammed from all angles by 10,000 chaingunners, many above my eyeline. Architecture is boxy and forgettable. Texturing (both choice and alignment) is not good either. No atmosphere, it's just kill, kill, kill. So many monsters that killing becomes boring and I question the wisdom of using mainly Doom 2 monsters without Doom 2 weapons. 3 stars for amusing me for 1/2 hour.

Small level in brown bricks style. Layout is compact and a bit rectangular but works well, texture use spare but consistent, and overall ambiance is good. Gameplay @ UV is some form of city-guerilla; although a few snipers are positioned at nasty places and a bit much AV's add to the fun, it needs tactical fights - which is imho very nice. Overall: playing it was not too difficult but gave fun; rated as a 1994 map: absolutely not legendary, but solid 4/5, worth 20 minutes.

Dario Casali siege-carnage adventure. There's maybe a thousand monsters in here, so better find those weapons and start to think how to digest it all. Watch out for those nazi ghost. Built time about two. Funny.

The level design is absolutely great! i love how it makes you genuinely feel like you are in a building the whole time..   For some reason this wad gives me a Die Hard vibe [probably the whole "Go down a building" Motif... now all we need is a demonic Hans and we are all set]   but yeah.. great wad overall...

Amazing episode, some custom decorations and good care to lights and shadows. I like how he uses the playing space (wide corridors) and how it affects the combat. Despite her beautiful voice, you gotta kill her. Burning trees.

Nice, tight level design. E1M8 was an amazing puzzle map.
It's surprisingly difficult for a Doom 1 WAD, but for wrong reasons: constant ambushes, monsters teleporting right behind you. Also, there is a serious lack of medikits. Fights with 5 % health and hitscanners all around are common.
      Still, it was quite fun.

Seriously underappreciated WAD. If you've played the Japanese Community Project, Manbou (burabojunior) was the most prolific contributor, and without his nine maps, the JPCP wouldn't have the same reputation for fun and artistic flair. He announced Water Spirit in the text file for JPCP, and released it a year later. These are three somewhat challenging maps with high enemy counts and visuals even more stunning than his JPCP maps. Manbou is probably my favorite visual artist in Doom. My only complaint is that the PWAD as a whole is really short, consisting of only three maps that are about ten minutes of gameplay each. It leaves me wanting a lot more.
