About This File

This is a minimalistic map with emphasis on action. Might take just a couple of minutes if you are good but it will keep you on your toes for most of the time. If you like intense fights in cramped environment give it a try! It's a short map but I had some fun playing it so decided to release it - enjoy!

Nice layout. There are actually some challenging moments with monsters attacking from every direction, especially if you try to rush it. The visuals are basic but stylish and might remind you of early Grain of Salt levels (see Green Goddess).

Does what it says on the tin. Fails at texturing. Fails at lighting. Fails at story. Surprisingly, succeeds at gameplay. The monsters come in such hordes that it's almost impossible to miss, but the danger of being cornered or outflanked keeps things interesting. I question the wisdom of putting an arch-vile and pain elemental in a map with limited ammo.

Not too bad for a single map, but not too great, either. You kill a few monsters, flip a switch and kill some more monsters, flip another switch, kill more monsters, rinse and repeat. It's fairly challenging, though. 3/5

I played it because of greys. Monotonous maybe but little challenging. A small ok level. 3/5

Interesting design, but I wouldn't say that it "kept me on my toes." It's more about camping in one spot and waiting for enemies to come to you.

Short TC with a lovely western setting. I wish it was longer, but it's great nonetheless.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Serenity series, but Infinity might be its best entry. The maps are mostly fun to navigate and they feature some decent design. I'm just not sure I like the way the fights are designed. It's not uncommon for rooms to be packed with enemies (mostly sergeants). I found myself blasting my shotgun through a doorway a bit too often for my tastes. Still, it features some nice MIDIs, so the experience is mostly fun.

Fava Beans is a great episode that's very reminiscent of E1's style. The maps, especially back half, are smartly laid out and feature lots of windows, which give the WAD a great look. It's on the easier side overall, as it doesn't use Cacos and Barons all that much, but it was still a blast to play through.

This is definitely one of my favorite 1994 release. The Evil Unleashed continues in the steps of TiC's previous WAD, Slaughter Until Death, and refines the experience even further. The maps are full of tight spaces with packs of enemies ready to be mowed down. The architecture is simple but effective, complemented by a handful of nasty crushers. Good stuff.
