About This File

A failed attempt on speed mapping for a.s.s. vol 5, googling around for searching about this killing colours thing, it appears the girl showed in this wad walls.

In the end, it resulted a nuts.wad clone with some killer colours concept in it (i mean the level from alien vendetta), but i miserabily failed.

Played @ UV. Map layout and decoration are simple as if they are irrelevant or a first map. First monster batches are peanuts even for a beginner, follower can be done easily via forced infighting. Final battles looks like 'how can we put as many monsters in a single room'; can be done easily with some patience. Overall: imho almost totally uninspired, and gameplay is as well as absent. If you like slaughtermaps, maybe 2/5, else 0/5, so overall 1/5.

^He means that he didn't adhere to the theme, not that the map itself is a failure. It's still playable by all means and is fairly decent, so 3 stars. - Obsidian

A straightforward Serious-Sam-styled level (slaughtermap, but not that difficult). I kinda like it.

If it's a failed attempt, then why did you bother uploading this? -Randumb

Short, sweet, not too hard and not too easy either. A good map for anyone who's playing a slaughter map for the first time. Could use a bit more level design though.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
