An adventure across 6 highly atmospheric, well-designed, & interconnected maps. You'll visit each branch of the hub many times, each time unveiling a large new section to explore. The puzzles/progression are well-designed, and I never once got stuck/lost. Typically soon after receiving an item, you unlock a shortcut to where you need to use it, which is great design. The architecture is detailed and impressive, and is aided by some new textures from Hexen 2 (underrated game by the way). Also it's vanilla-compatible (a bit rare for modern Hexen hubs), which is a boon for users of Chocolate Hexen. Just all around excellent.

Quality Hexen wad. Loved the visuals. Even got lost in it for hours just like in the iwad. 5/5

An excellent set of "classic"-themed hexen maps. Despite the creator's apparent mixed feelings(?), the gameplay, visuals and atmosphere are all very high quality, and it's just fun to play. Some new music and textures has been used (all from Hexen 2, I think?) but used sensibly alongside the vanilla resources. Getting to the portal at the end of MAP01 actually reminded me how exciting it was to find portals when I first played Hexen, as a tiny child. I just wish there was more.

Only two major "flaws". 1: it's "just" one hub. 2: we'll have to wait another year or two till someone creates another piece of new content for Hexen.

Excellent hub! Also, thank you for not tying your wad to a specific source port.:)

New heXen wad??? Now that's rare! And well designed and finishable! Most heXen wads I download are uncompleted. This borrows textures from heXen II as well. 4 stars simply for being for heXen, +1 for being awesome!

Excellent, up there with LilWhiteMouse's Wolfen as one of the best wads for Hexen. 100% must-play if you're a fan of this game.

Good hub, but I found a bug, you can get the blue emerald by jumping on the statues, and finish it very soon.

Excellent, action packed Hexen WAD. The final boss fight can bug out if you kill all bosses with a single blow.

It's large 1995 map. Starting area is looking nice, but later author lost creativity and made mazy corridors. Very challenging because of overuse of chaingunners. It's extremely annoying. Lots of traps, Some clever, some not fair.

Too linear in my tastes looking back now, will do better with my next projects!

For 95' map is really ok. A bit "blocky" design, but not bad. Map is rather big, it takes me 40min but i get lost in one place. Some good traps, IMO kinda challanging at the begining, before you get ssg. Overall good classic wad.

Fun map that captures a nice TNT-ish feel with plenty of weird yet also nice looking rooms, groups of hitscanners and demons to blast through, and a sense of adventure to it. Taking the MAP14 slot, you would see the episode 2 skybox of TNT: Evilution and listen to the track "Cold Subtleness", both creating a nice atmosphere to the map. Worth checking out!

Doesn't like the layout and monster replacements, I didn't found RL until got the yellow key and found a lot of rockets, the location where RL is confusing me, and it also not fun when you get kicked down from the cliffs by Revenants, Mancubus and Archviles after the way to Blue key door, the way to the teleporter just far enough to kill you if not killed by monsters which kicked you down. Final timed puzzle room just nasty as the cyberdemon and archvile fights in the same place, not sure why make the level so big but can't make the fights with them also on bigger place too?   It's not bad level but I'm sure the frustration level is sky high, and not sure the slopes from ZDooM do anything good to this level too.
