About This File

Well, I made this map mainly to improve my scripting skills, but that is left to you to decide. Well, speaking about the map, I wanted to build an hellish-futurist [at- mosphere], but I think it got out of hand and made it in a more hellish style. There are nearly 10.000 linedefs, and I would made it bigger but with WadAuthor I couldn't do more. Combat is hard, although [difficulty] decreases [sometimes] it rises again. Anyway, I believe that this is the best map I've created until now.

Aesthetically pleasing, with some nice ideas. But also frustrating. --- 3/5 (Eye)

A lot of effort put into detailing, even to the point that it becomes tiresome to the eyes. Everything else is bad, including the moronic explosion sound that plays everytime there's a "lightning" event on the map. Which means 2 times per second on average.

Technically solid. Decoration & ambiance is well done. ATOH map layout is way, way too rectangular, and monster placement is imho very uninspired, not to say boring. The map has no leitmotiv, gameplay just goes from one room to another looking about the same, only the monsters differ. IOW gameplay does not have a flow. Popups get boring too. All-over it makes gameplay very disappointingly. As gameplay is most important: 1.5 + 1.5 for the efford - 0.5 for the music = small 3/5.

Good map. It does have lots of flaws though.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
