About This File

The sequel to Superfast DUEL Speedmaps. A wad that was the result of a speed-mapping compilation on the Zandronum Forums in the late summer and early autumn of 2013. As the title suggests, this map pack is made with deathmatch in mind, but with support for sixteen players or greater. Each map ,whilst being made in BooM format, was to be finished in one hour with corrections allowed as a method of quality control. In the end, the group created thirty-five all-new deathmatch maps that play greatly for big crowds.

Found this again thanks to Er\IWA, it's a overall good and fun deathmatch mapset made of speedmaps by various users from Zandronum forums, the mapset have it's high and lows and really shows them (looking with disappointment at MAP21) and lots of maps are inspired by the great classics (Greenwar, Memento Mori, even Eternal Doom -or is better say Eternal DM?) and with some weird fetish for pyramid structures in the main arena. Fun megawad overall.

A few duds, but overall this is quite good. It's not an over-detailed clusterfluffle, but they're nice on the eyes for the most part. Despite what the textfile says, these are SFDM01 - SFDM35, not MAP01 - MAP35. I recommend it, 4 stars.

Adorable and soothing, I wish I could stay here forever with the dog.

Not a lot to like here. A handful of OK maps buried in a sea of absolute dreck. The last third of the wad was particularly awful - just skipped through that in unfounded optimism there would be at least one map that was interesting/playable. A last resort mapset when you have nothing else to play.

This needs a warning label - it has one of the most annoying "enhancements" ever to stain Doom. A countdown timer. I just abandoned the level when I noticed it. Also first hall you enter has a dozen Hell Knights and god knows how many Imps, while you have a single shotgun and a dozen shells. This kind of crap makes me want to punch my screen. So you've been warned.

I always felt like the vanilla Doom II experience was lacking a certain little something. Stick it in your GZDoom's "skins" directory, you will never regret it. True magnificence is something which chases you around.
