About This File

This is basically a enhanced remake of the successful Icon Of Sin's Hideout. It may have been successful, but it still had some problems. mainly the exit door. One of the pegs was not sticking out. I tried to make this ZDoom compatible, but for some odd reason when I got to the map, it crashes. I don't know why. Bugger.

Same story and plot from previous. I also included my (Real) first wad I made. I know there was a wad that said my first wad. It's not. I forgot to edit that part on the readme :P Fair warning, first wad maybe a recipe for disaster. Most first timer wads are like that. Also, look for a hidden easter egg I couldn't resist putting in...

For a first map, it just not bad, but the layout just confusing and too long with some weird narrowed passages and area, the IoS battle just boring as hell(as my own feel).

The Icon of Sin's hideout? A giant, fifty-foot-high wall with a blind goat's face and a glowing hole in its forehead can hide out? Next you're going to tell me Hell Knights are simply bad-tempered marines with one extra chromosome.

Can't say I'm a fan. Very mishmashed detailing. Most areas look fine, but some other areas have botched-at-the-last- moment detailing. Awful gameplay, just throw as many monsters as you can in and then put a fucking lot of health around. The author also thinks that a long level is good. Wrong. 1/5 for effort.

Wait, out of all the problems you could pick from, the EXIT DOOR is the one you choose?? It also rips an area from E3M4: House of Pain from the original Doom. Too long and tedious.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
