What Marcaek said, nothing I could add on top of that.

After all the praise I read I almost expected visuals comparable to Eternal's and Ed Cripps maps. Instead, I got "brute force" detailing almost devoid of style and polish. Nonetheless, maps ARE challenging and fun to play (with exception of Map 1) and you can feel author was improving with every new map. Worth playing, just expect one of few wads you'll actually wish had less details than it does. 3/5

Really atmospheric "realistic" looking maps with solid and sometimes really hard gameplay.:) 4/5

Overrated. There are cool ideas and the soviet wasteland subtheme is cool but the execution leaves more to be desired. There's lots of case of crampedness and bumpy\sticky detailing impeding movement, and a complete lack of visual polish or consistency. There are textures from a ton of different sources that don't tile or scale well(and some of them are just horrid or goofy) and weird HOMs+bleeding. The gameplay is typical of a russian wad, kind of like unpolished TNT in gigantic levels.

So much detail, it's a little overwhelming. I don't like the monster pop up or the doors that look like walls but it's very creative in the exploring aspect. Reminds me of ALT.wad.

Over-detailed to a point of looking messy instead of good. Maps 6 and 7 have most consistent visual styles and are genuinely good looking, I hope to see more like that next time. Those high res posters look really out of place. Music seems misplaced, some sort of subtle dark ambient (think STALKER games) would be far better choice for majority of environments in this wad and would significantly improve atmosphere. Other than that... this is a really fun wad to play.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
