Great design, awful gameplay. This is one of those maps that throws thirty thousand enemies at you and gives you less ammo than The Last of Us. Except at least that game gave you cover. It's a shame, too, because it would be a good level if it wasn't so impossible.

I'm pretty sure Memfis is just a robot that makes maps. If he is, he's well programmed, because DAMN this is a fine map!

Excellent level with standard gameplay. Difficulty is demanding, but not over-the-top. Good visuals. It's a bit short, unfortunately.

I actually share Doomkid's mindset for the most part :) Memfis always makes rock solid stuff overall. (Exceptions: a few maps where I'd dock a point for having an area too harsh to not have skill settings, Triplex Map17 for instance, or a few cases he went for really basic stuff, like that 1995 wads/heroes.wad tribute [forget the name].)

Very short open-area type level. Map layout is simple. Texture use/decoration/ambia nce is good. Gameplay consists of switch-hunting while being sniped from everywhere without enough cover, which is besides highly unoriginal, plain boring. Overall: 3/5 as encouragement due to the ambiance only. BTW seriously guys, 5* legendary for a map of this size??? C'mon, please be reasonable. Thank you.

Musical composition fits feeling of dread in overcoming outpost of death. To reach exit, gonna need all secrets, explore all areas (hint: blood pool and behind start) when danger not around. Cover vital to survival against gunners/fatters and unfortunately, area open enough to give projectilers good olde time. Lure/manipulate enemy movement to your cover advantage. Too less of health against enemy capability. Like The Art of War. Map definitely a guard area before ending. ~5/5 for hell of time.

      Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

      It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

      What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

      thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
