About This File

Swift Death is an extremely hard megawad, calibrated for speedrunners. I recommanded for novice players to play in "easy" ("Toilet Break", or "Soft Event"). SD is realized in speedmapping sessions, for the most parts of maps. These maps are generally small, and contain on average 75 monsters. They are also compatible for the duel / deathmatch.

Rose Inferno is a very nice map but the rest is trollish even with cheats enabled.

A bit too hard for my tastes, but hey - at least I managed to get through a few levels.

Short, sweet, and very hard. Thankfully the maps are playable/tolerable enough to warrant the inevitable replays because of the smallish enemy count. However, gameplay is invariably frustrating at parts, and often feels unbalanced. Worth a look though. 4 stars, just about.

You cannot rate a wad "Vomit" when the only problem you find is YOU being too bad. If the whole community thought like you then Deus Vult and HRs would be forgotten.

How can a wad where every single start room is impossible (or near-impossible) be even considered for a cacoward, let alone win one? (this is from a fan of hard slaughtermaps btw)

The most evil 'tiny map' megawad ever. Who can take it any further? :)

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
