About This File

Nothing worth taking seriously. This is like one of those WADs that are actually old but get posted on the idgames database. If you like '94-type levels, you may enjoy this. Good for IDCLEV-ing.

Good, entertaining megawad, have some interesting maps and texturing.  I agree that the map05 feels kinda uncomfortable pushed inside this collection of maps.  There also a couple of maps that, for some reason, slow down my GZDoom running through Delta Touch on cellphone

There are some nice levels in this WAD but there are also some bland or tedious ones. In overall, there are better WADs to play.

looking back, honestly I don't like this one that much. the descriptions of each map shows what they were, and it's obvious there's no real order to them. the Doom Core and Reverie rejects are interesting and cool, while the CC4 reject maps, despite me originally thinking they were cool, were a lot longer than I remembered. of course, there are some obvious throwaway speedmaps just sitting near the beginning of the set, and a few other crappers like MAP07 (arch-vile centric map that isn't too exciting). MAP05 of course steals the show, but it's among the most uncomfortable slaughtermaps ever due to the monster usage. at least with the author being a familiar name, you can recognize his gameplay style in each of these maps, so if you're a fan of the valk, go right ahead and check this out. but you're better off playing some of his better works.

Some very nice maps in here. Especially towards the end!

Author sells the wad short. Texturing is a little janky, but it looks better and plays better than 1994 stuff.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
