About This File

This is the first non-speedmapping map I have released.

The map is launched on level 12 in order to use the right sky texture, it was originally going to be a part of the Nova III release.

Torn is a tribute to Sunder, taking inspiration from several maps, mostly from Pale Monument.

A few components from it are copied and tweaked (a staircase, two large pillars, and two detailing elements).

The building exterior across from the was based on one of the maps in Nova III, which was supposed to create continuity.

Other than that, it's entirely original.

A fun slaughter map. Lots of invulns for players that want some help beating the fights. Takes about 3-5 hours to complete with saves so set some time aside and smash it out.

There's some platforming sections, one easy, one rather difficult.

Notes: Make sure you download the correct version.

This is my wad and newer versions of GZDoom caused it to break. Two unattached lines that I was using for treadmills apparently throw the application. Also the file was defaulting to Doom 1 when opening in GZDoomBuilder and/or UltimateDoomBuilder. Please use https://drive.google.com/open?id=1t_EDinyMrE8h8LRt3a1wzeOlx9YuBKC5 instead.

I'll reach out to Doomworld to replace the file.

Thanks,

Robert

Great-looking and massive slaughtermap, inspired by the "skintech city" aesthetic of Sunder map08. There are 5k enemies, but ammo and powerups are very generous, so it doesn't put massive stress on the player. Recommended to anyone who likes macro-slaughter! 4/5

invulnerabilities are great to have in a slaughtermap. there were a few troll moments but otherwise it's fine.

A long, fun slaughter romp, with a lot of gorgeous detailing. I'm not the best slaughter player, I did not use any of the God spheres until the final battle, and I had very little trouble beating this on UV.

Feels good, man.

5000 monsters. Took 101 minutes to beat in 2-player coop. Apart from 1 mass caco invasion, the monsters are laid out evenly as the level itself is big. Many times there are provided means to gain advantage over the horde. Just stay observant.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
