Once upon a time, armed with my old Maximum Doom disc, I decided to go through every single user WAD to see what the history of DOOM modding was like; where it started, and get a feel for the experimentation that led to the scene as it was then, the year 2001-ish. This experiment did not last long; boxy rooms, random ill-fitting sounds, badly-converted textures from inappropriate sources, awkward 'custom' sprites and a general lack of aesthetic in any sense of the word -- all these things combined made the process about as pleasurable as one would imagine soldering my eyeballs to my anus would be. And this was before I'd even finished the 'A' section, tackled in alphabetical order of course.

Playing this steaming pool of fecal matter in WAD form (and I did, all eight maps of it; even if I needed to IDCLIP one of them and to find an exit switch on the arm of a swastika formation - classy) made me nostalgic for the extremely high bar set by those horrible Maximum Doom WADs.

By typing this, and if you are indeed reading this, more time has been devoted to this simpering travesty than it will ever deserve. But I'll nutshell it as some joke about the Furry community that likely nobody but the author will 'get' (with one map named 'Anthrocon' and another, um, 'Cum Zone') spread across eight minimal-effort maps, three of which are bad Icon of Sin encounters introduced by the sound of what I would imagine to be the author trying to have clumsy sexual relations with his microphone using only his nose.

I downloaded this to low-key troll my partner, who is a fan of the FNAF (or Five Nights At Freddy's) series. Even in that regard, this WAD had no value. Avoid.

I was curious and I opened this wad to try it out (just so you know, I hate FNAF).

The sounds were horrible (ear-rapy to be precise), the pictures in the menu and some of the textures were Rule 34 bullshit, the gameplay is garbage and the enemy sprites are ripped off of different games, if I could guess (I think I remember that white blanket monster from somewhere). There are 8 maps in total and all of them are in a way or another huge empty boxes, with like 15 enemies each time.

Also the Cyberdemon shifts colors. WHAT IS THIS? A RAVE???

Finally, the author used the Hong Kong 97 music in the final level (now you are sure that the wad is really shitty, without playing it).

Bottom line: If you want to regret living, this wad will help you in that. Otherwise, leave it to rot in obscurity, like it deserves.

Some levels are decent, others are poor, others are too long and excessively filled innecesarily with too many loads of monster, there are a couple of "broken levels" I have to use cheats to complete, like level 25 (?) there was no blue key at all, plus you are locked with a door that doesn't let you go back to check where the hell is the blue key

The detail is amazing, and sometimes is overdone in some areas. i'm even amazed that this is compatible with the Vanilla DooM. Somewhat an underrated wad if it weren't for the weird new sounds and combat. The combat is pretty hard to play with, and i ended up dying multiple times due to the lack of ammo supplied in the maps. Aside from that, 3 stars for the detail, and 1 more star for Vanilla compatibility. This wad is recommended to anyone who is willing to punch Arachnotrons with their fists in an attempt to kill them.

This mapset struck me as fairly innocuous at first but the gameplay is where this one really shines. Maps are compact and punchy with a lot of combat variety and entertainment to be had. There is a solid difficulty ramp and i found myself having more and more fun with each passing map. Top notch - recommended to anyone!

a great wad, modernizes the look of some of the maps from the OG, while being just as fresh all the same. maps like MAP22 and MAP25 are more unique than the rest, but overall, this was certainly an enjoyable and balanced mapset and I barely could find any flaws with it.
