Okay, I get it, it's a megawad mainly for speedrunners who are intricately familiar with the mechanics of the game down to the nitty-gritty. A series of challenges/obstacles that, for the most part, seem to be possible but are generally ludicrous (and sometimes outright laughable, in a good way).

This was is not a "pile of junk" as a few have said however it's really, really lacking in a lot of ways. I get that the wad is meant to have a fun-and-not-serious tone despite it's overall extreme difficulty but the texturing looks like the insides of a toilet bowl after a Taco Bell buffet. Seriously, these maps are jealous of how beautiful and futuristic maps like UAC_DEAD look. The DWANGO series looks like fucking Ancient Aliens compared to this.

The MIDIs are lighthearted, silly and fun, which adds a layer of appeal for me personally. I loved seeing Patrick Stewart at the intermission too, rofl

I had some fun with this IDCLEVing through the whole wad and giving each map a try or 2 before moving on to the next but I seriously doubt I'll ever be back. The same idea with better texturing and overall taking itself just a tiny bit more seriously would warrant a higher rating. Ass-ugly texturing, silly MIDIs and a silly titlepic/interpic are fun in their own right so don't take me the wrong way but a lot of it crossed into "looks like the authors gave 0 fucks" category and I just have to take points away for that.

Also,

Authors: Deep Throat, english bulldog, JasonB, Valhalla958, and pizza party

lol wtf is this bullshit is this a terrywad or somethin i mean jeeeezus

Overall, this is worth a peek just for some fun but unless you're a highly skilled speedrunner that also doesn't mind looking into a crapchute map after map, this probably doesn't really have much for you.

If it were renamed "Garbage Dump," I would have given it a better rating.

Giving 4 stars while being somewhat generous. And here's why:

This is part jokewad and part vignette style combat (leaning towards slaughter among other things). At times this wad is competent at either of these things, other times I really felt like the joke has been pushed way past the point of breaking, hence way past the point of being funny for me personally. Everyone's sense of humor and its limits are different, mine is unfortunately not suited for the kind of mockery that happens here at times. Simply put: This megawad is not for everybody.

I love me some "bizarre" stuff, but if you put me in an elevator shaft that takes more than just "a few" minutes to reach its destination... Sorry, these things are not quite my cup of tea.

Jokes aside, there is some fun stuff in this set. Usage of scrolling floors not only for the purpose of voodoo doll scripting is something I have a soft spot for, punching the everliving crap out of a cybie is rather enjoyable as well, telefragging a bunch of stuff while memorizing which teleport pads have been used was also nice. In short: There is some creative stuff here that I thouroughly enjoyed.

I'd recommend playing this with liberal use of IDCLEV in mind, because you may stumble upon something that you have a good time with.

What the fuck? This WAD is shit, most of the levels can't even be completed. Maybe I just don't get it...

Let's see, four stars, lots of favorable reviews. Unfortunately I was misled by the title. Was not really expecting thirty-two maps here, thought it was a Doom 2 MAP21 tribute (it has one MAP21-like map though). And then I was misled even further

So it's a jokewad. A terrible one though, as I did not find anything funny in the 32 levels I played. Maps are intentionally made to be crappy, with loads of nasty monsters in almost impossible situations, yet not so impossible since this was made for demoers from the looks of it. Except for a few, the screenshot Philnemba took of MAP17's monster count is one thing, but the map itself was completely unplayable for me to the point I had to soft restart (and my computer is usually capable of handling most lag-inducing levels so shut the fuck up). MAP25 after some time had the same issue. However you put it, anyone who wants a good megawad MUST stay clear, for even if you god mode through looking for the good things it still isn't exciting. But those who never take the game seriously will love it of course.

Or rather, anyone who doesn't take anything seriously will enjoy it. I prefer actually fun wads myself. You obviously expected this kind of review to come along, didn't you? Come at me.

The 5 star rating system doesn't have enough depth to express my feelings towards this WAD.

Obviously visuals take a backseat when gameplay is pushed to it's limits.  You will not regret playing this.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
