About This File

Trapped in the enemy bunker, your only goal is to get out alive. Such a simple plan, such an impossible feat.

Nice for its time. Quite Labyrinthine, and has a bit of that early '90s wad charm.

Having said that, little reason to play it now. Simple in visuals, and a tad unbalanced, both when it comes to the enemies (plenty of spots were demon groups could be smaller to help the pace), but mostly when it comes to the ammo, as it's WAY too scarce, especially in the beginning.

Very good map from 1995. Good design, some nice details, consistent base theme (it's rare in early wads). Only few minor texturing flaws.

(Playing on UV) Challange is mostly made of big number of hitscanners and hordes of pinkies, but overall it's well spend 20 minutes of my life. Ammo and health balance is perfect. I never had to much ammo.  4.5/5*

For that time excellent computer station level. Good architecture with quite varying layout with a lot of height differences, detailing, consistent texture use, and good ambiance. Very good gameplan offers a lot of nice traps and fights @ UV. Note that a lot of 1995 players didn't have a mouse, which makes playing it on places much more difficult than for mousers. Overall rated as 1995 map: very good, and twenty years later it still offers about 20 minutes of fun.

Was this name generic in 1995 though? "Such a simple plan, such an impossible feat." Not really. In fact that was a bit too easy. Worth playing anyway.

Atmospheric dark computer station. Very interesting design, good fiendish traps, almost challenging even today. Excellent. Played with IDMUS24.

Bearing in mind the name and the period I didn't expect much, but this is a really good level, a well-designed concrete techbase with lots of monsters and some clever traps. The design flows well, the action is non-stop. With a bit of polish it would be up to commercial E1 standard. Children torture kittens because they do not know any better; children marvel at the world for the same reason. The impulse is the same, but we damn one and praise the other.

Nice level for a level with such a generic name. Fix some of the misaligned textures and we might have a winner here.

Neat level. I wish this Terry would replace the other one and make maps again. 4/5

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
