About This File

Its night, you're in a dark graveyard, you're surrounded by imps, and all you've got for defence is your pistol.... Things don't look good, but perhaps that light in the distance offers sanctuary...

Thus begins GRAVEYD.WAD, 3 new levels for DOOM I, designed for single player, with lots of attention to theme, detail, and architecture, and runable on low end systems!

Overall a very good set of 3 maps, though it get a bit mazy on the 2nd and 3rd level as per my viewpoint. Moreover there are some nice ideas, but you have to discover them by yourself ! /tested with brutal doom/

Atmospheric. Nothing great. 4 stars Elitists, stay away from this level. You won't enjoy it due to its '94ness

Reminds me of UAC_DEAD in terms of atmosphere. The gameplay however is somewhat frustrating for those who dislike mazes and tight places. It is still a considerably good WAD considering its time, so it is definitely worth the download.

This level set starts out very impressive with an imaginative opening setting and fun first map. The second map starts out in the same style but quickly becomes a too long and too tiresome maze level. It redeems itself slightly with a very imaginative and fun trap towards the end, though. The third and final map hosts even more mazes. Overall, average quality. If you loathe mazes then you'd better stick to playing the first map. --3/5

definatly good for a 95 map. Item placement makes for some intense combat. Although the mazes are exessive, the rest is worth the download.

NOT one of the better wads from 1995. Considering that Fava Beans, The Final Gathering, and Infinity also came out that year, it pales in comparison. Oh well, at least the mazes aren't plastered with STARTAN3. 2/5

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
