Prologue to UPPER DECKS, two map adventure that beats the hell of all 94 maps. Hidden gem.

This is...a spaceship map made in 1994. And it IS well made for 1994, but it does have dated elements in it. There's a central area with a teleport ambush. Then there's loads of rectangular rooms with shotgunners and then there are the cramped vents/tech tunnels with loads of imps with lifts in between them.

There's also a big flaw in the map. IF you get to a certain big room without the red key, you're stuck. There are also a couple of crusher traps, that require some fast thinking. Ammo is plenty. I would still recommend playing this just to see what 1994 were like.

Not as good as the sequal, but still a 5/5 for fun.

Impressive, atmospheric wad for its time, but it hasn't aged well. The rooms are very square with little detail for the most part, and the layout isn't that great. The thing that really drags this pwad down, though, is the tunnel system. Seriously, it's the one bad part in what would've been a good wad. 3.5/5

I remember playing this wad when i was a little kid at my dads old computer. This wad doesn't only have great level design, the music is really great too. 5/5'd

And his cool status bar was used by several other pwads, like Tree3 (doom1 pwad by Greg Lewis), and Newdoom1 (compiled by Frank Provo). It should remain as one of the best 94's wad, played even today, 12 years after, with pleasure!!! 5/5 - Jive

This map was not bad for its age. There were a few clever traps that were far ahead of its time, and the texture usage and lighting was decent. However, there were a few annoying mazes, and parts of the map you could get stuck permanently if the wrong order is taken (I got stuck in two places and had to idclip). Overall, this is a '94 map worth checking.

This is a superior level from May 1994. The environment reminds me of System Shock, although I believe that System Shock came out a few months after this. It's a classic. It's polished, there's a steady stream of action, the environments are generally big and good-looking, and it has atmosphere. It's a class better than ninety per cent of levels from 1994 and most from 1995, and it's also better than Pop Will Eat Itself, the band.

Another under-rated Classic wad. The prequel to invade2.wad(an incredible wad), it's not quite as detailed, but the atmosphere is there. Get this one and enjoy as you'll feel like you're actually on, The Inquisiter (space ship).

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
